I didn't even know there was a Big Ruckus in some ways it looks kind of ridiculous but, i'm gonna make an assumption and guess it is rather comfortable with a smooth ride, no? This little scoot rocks. Its is VERY comfortable to ride with the back rest, it even folds down and I can throw my wife on the back. I was originally looking at a ruckus (before I knew of the GY6 swap) but went with this because it had a GY6. Its been a bitchen scoot so far. I think Honda's Big Ruckus is a 250cc. I was thinking of rock'n this paint job in remembrance of the old Repsol I wrecked Attachments:

With the pictures provided, I wonder if one of these would work on my scoot? Velocita Performance Stainless Steel Exhaust www.monstergy6.com/product_pipe_150.htm#240Scooter Performance Exhaust Muffler System GY6 157qmj www.ebay.com/itm/scooter-performa....f29aaea&vxp=mtrI am just worried about the bends in the header fitting my scoot... I've seen in other posts that people have taken their headers to mufflers shops and they can make small adjustements to help the header fit better. Has anyone else done that?

Wth is that monstrosity!?!?! That's a bigg'n. I will assume you are talking about my scoot. Its a Znen Rodwy, its a clone of the Honda Big Ruckus. Its been a good little scoot for me. The backrest also folds down and I can throw the wifey on the back. Its been a little project bike for me. Ive been having fun modding it ;D

My bike is not even a year old, it is garage kept every night and the muffler is rusting, that is kinda lame... One of the many reasons why I am looking to switch out the exhaust

Sorry this one is so fuzzy. I had to squeeze my hand under the motor to take this with my phone... the two exhaust bold are not perpendicular to the side of the bike, they are angled slightly clockwise if you are sitting on the bike facing forward..

Ok, so here is the scoot in all her glory.
The one thing that concerns me is all of the exhausts that I see online are angled upward for the sportier scooters. Do I have to end up bending those headers to fit mine or are there exhausts that are more parrelle to the ground?

just remember, you get what you pay for as far as quality goes. ive already had my experiences with exhausts. just a few tips. dont go with the carbon fiber. they sure do look cool but they melt when you go on long rides or even short trips with allot of WOT. ive had one catch on fire at a stop light. my advice, go with stainless steel. another detail to look at with the SS mufflers. sure its nice to get a muffler for 80$ but they are cheap. you dont want anything with rivets! get one that is welded closed. after a month or so with a riveted exhaust, you will notice exhaust coming from around the rivets. i found one on amazon that was a stainless steel welded no rivets. it was 120, and about 135$ after shipping. like i said sure its nice to get one for 80$ but do you want to have to replace it later on down the road? the 120$ was good for me because it had good quality and i saved myself a 350$ heart attack by dodging the trapp. if your going for the budget build, i would get a briggs muffler as they are not really stylish but fully functional. here is the link for the one i purchased. hope this helps! happy scooting www.amazon.com/Scooter-Moped-Performance-Steel-Exhaust/dp/B005H98RGI/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1335240486&sr=8-3 That is really good info, thank you. I have heard that there are different exhaust plug of fitting so I want to make sure I get the right one. Another thing that also scares me is the angel of the exhaust header. I have seen a lot of exhausts that have the header/exhaust angled upward. Mine need to be parallel to the ground. Should I have to bend the header to make it fit correctly or are there headers designed specifically for my fit? Ill post a picture of my bike so you get a better idea of what I am talking about.

I have a 150cc GY6 and have been looking for an exhaust that would help air flow a little better. I have been diggin through ScooterDawg and other forums to try and find information on exhausts but can seem to find any. What is the difference between all the different exhaust. I keep seeing these expensive arse MRP exhausts for almost $350... www.scootertronics.com/mrpgy6150hip.htmland then these "V8" carbon fiber exhausts for almost half the price.... scooterelements.ecrater.com/p/13326821/v8-oval-carbon-fiber-exhaustWhat is the difference between these? How do I know the header pipe is going to fit my engine? I have heard that there are 4 different types of GY6 exhaust fittings. I need some exhaust guidance.

So I called the manufacture and found out that the stick jet was 105. I was at 136. Dang, that was WAY too much fuel. I am back down to a 35 (pilot)with a 122 (main) and it runs a ton better. I think I might even go down to the like a 114-116. Just need to buy them.

If the doc and Alleyoop say its true, im too lean... its gotta be true. Ill make the change and report back. Also, my auto choke keeps coming on and turns off when I am at a stop light. Is that the autochoke or the carb getting ride of extra fuel?

Yes your WAY to rich dude and flooding it NO POWER. You see my Trike in my sig, I am running a #38 pilot and #122.5 main jet and my 157QMJ has a 62mm BBK and a 60mm Stroker Crank that is 30 more ccs I added to the motor. I have a K&N and Free Flow Supertrapp muffler. Your Main should be about 110-112 and a #35 Pilot. Alleyoop Alleyoop, I have seen your posts on other threads and you have a lot of good info which I respect. This question comes from ignorance so bare with me... The stock jets were a 124 (main) and 35 (pilot). When I moved to the pod filter and am getting more air, wouldnt I have to go up a bit... maybe like a 130 (main) and 38 (pilot)? Thanks for putting up with my ignorance. Still learning about these little engines...

So, I bought a new scooter as a project bike. It’s a Chinese 157QMJ. I got rid of the stock air box and connected a 2 stage UNI filter directly to the carb. It ran like crap because it was getting too much air SOOOO I started rejetting.
I live at sea level, literally across the street from the ocean, and stock jets in the carb were a 124 main with 32 pilot. Since then I have put in a 136 main jet with a 40 pilot. The problem I am having is at the take off it acts likes it wants to die for a sec then takes off. It only happens when I idle for a couple minutes at a light. If I throttle real slow it doesn’t do it and it is fine at wide open throttle. I spent like 2 hours hitting different combinations of the pilot and main jet, 38-40-42 pilot, with 136-138 main jet but its still happening. Am I missing something? Isnt the pilot jet for the initial take off and the main jet is for over 15mph?
I think it might be too rich but wanted to get someone else’s opinion and hear about other’s carb set ups.
