I couldn't buy the feeler gauges since i get out of class when the stores close so it has to wait till tomorrow. However my brother was able to pick up some seafoam stuff that cleans the carb by sucking it in through the vacuum lines. After that it ran smoothly but i couldnt ride it extensively to check if it shut down. I'm still going to preform the valve adjustment. And as for the vapor lock problem, it does seem similar but my bike shuts down immediately not slowly. Almost as if i pulled a vacuum line out and stopped giving it fuel. and im fine with taking it off the center stand and going over bumps, i live in chicago so we are the city of potholes lol  |

Ahh sorry for the late reply i was busy today and couldn't get anything done really, my airbox doesnt seem to have any holes or anything that im aware of. I'm going to try to get some work done tomorrow however, and ill keep you posted.
thanks for all the advice so far buys i appreciate it.
Also my engine makes a loud ticking noise after i shut it down, the noise repeats about once a second and last for about a minute... is this normal? I always assumed it was the engine just cooling off.

thanks ill try checking the coil out today then.
I was getting myself familiar with the engine by taking the parts out, and i noticed a bolt was missing that secures the intake box thing, so it was just flopping around all this time. Could this be the cause of it?
I was getting ready for a DIY valve adjustment, but i just wanted to see if anyone had anymore insight before i did.

Hello, I'm new to these forums and to scooters in general. I have recently encountered a problem with my 2011 rocketa 150cc scooter. This is my first scooter and recently purchased it from someone. I can ride the scooter around for anywhere from 1-2 hours and suddenly it will randomly stall. If i try to start it up again it will power on but it will just shut down again the minute i give it gas. If i wait about an hour or two it will work again. Any advice would be appreciative. The only thing i have checked is the spark plug and its fine. Also if i power it on after it just shut off it sometimes dies while its idling. Any advice is welcome thanks again for reading.
