Ok, so thanks to your good selfs on here, i now have a crisp, buzzing little 50cc scooter engine! I have one more question with regards to brakes. My Rear Brake Handle is all wobbly and i have to pull on it real hard to get the rear brake to engage and slow me down. The front break seems fine, but the rear handle is loose, as in i can move it up and down and there is a lot of play in the pull of it before the brake engages. Any Help with this one would be amazing. i'm a lil unsure with messing around with brakes for obvious reasons! As with the engine though, i would like to have a crack at fixing them before i take the scooter to a mechanic. thanks (yet again) for your time

Well, if people are good enough to take time out to help me, why would you not thank them. Its just like walking into a store and thanking the person that serves you!
Anyways, enough of that!
Yh i just went through the steps, and hey presto! The motor sounds like a real engine for a change! Nice crisp bite to it when revved.... it doesn't smell of unburned fuel, and yeah, i think there was a lil more power behind it on the road test! Don't tell highway patrol though ha!
Thanks again bud for the info! I have another issue to ask for help with, but i will start a new thread for that one...

Hi guys, thank god i found your forum! ;D
Ok here goes, i have got hold of a 50cc Honda Dio, and she is not in the best shape!
basically, the exhaust stinks of fuel when running, and there is a very small ammount of smoke from the exhaust when in idle. I have absolutly no experience with scooter engines of any sort, so you are talking to a real noob here!!
i have read about Air/fuel mix screws and hi/low jet screws?
Please please please help, as i would love to try and fix myself before i put money i havent got in some one elses pocket to do for me!!
Many thanks
