its 400 kilometers, not even 400 miles, i'd say 250 miles and the sticker next to the oil cap says to change the oil every 1000 miles so i really didnt even think to check it. but i put 3/4ths of the bottle of oil in it yesterday and it didnt help at all. I'll be home in an hour or so so I'm gonna check it out again and I'm really praying its running better than it was last night and this morning.

I realized last week that the gas filter had a tiny crack in it, so i replaced it and it was fine. I did notice that the gas filter was completely full of gas this morning, but was told thats normal. I will take a closer look at it when I get back home in a few hours

UGH. okay so I'm leaving work yesterday, running an errand before going home on the hottest day of the year so far(100+f) . And right as I pull out, I realize that something is wrong (again!) about 2 seconds after i throttle my scooter, it will bog down almost to a complete stop. and I have to release the throttle and slowly rethrottle it again for it to go, but once it gets past like halfway, it will bog down again after 2 seconds. I pulled over and checked the oil because after replacing the gas filter, and the fuse last week, its the only other thing i could think that could possibly go wrong. The oil was low so I kept throttling, letting it go, and throttling it again basically using the momentum from the little bit of speed i could get to get to a gas station and put oil in it, thinking that would fix it. but it didnt, whatsoever. This scooter is a little over a month old, it should still be brand new. It has 430 kilometers on it. I was praying it was just from being out in the heat yesterday, so I figured I wouldnt touch it overnight and I'd try it first thing this morning, instead of running here and posting new topics everytime something goes wrong on my scooter...now I do realize these cheap chinese scooters do have issues at first that you have to iron out so I'm trying to be patient but now its causing me to miss work today, so I'm quickly losing what little patience I have. also the exhaust is making a weird almost like a faint crackling noise for a few days before this started happening. I would be forever thankful for any help or suggestions or even where to start with this problem. thanks for taking the time out to read my issue!! its a 2012 jonway 49cc scooter 4 stroke Attachments:

yeah, I had my dad come over and check it out before work this morning, and low and behold, it was the fuse all along, HUGE relief. It looked fine when I inspected it yesterday but thanks to a little research using the best scooter forum on the net (this one) you guys stated a few times that even if the fuse looked fine, it could be blown. and sure enough thats all it was. I cannot tell you guys how greatful I am for this message board as a resource for scooters. You guys rock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I made a thread a few weeks ago about the smell of gas in my exhaust, and it turns out that my gas filter had a crack in it, pretty simple fix.
So a few nights ago, as I'm riding home I flicked on my high beams a few times, just testing them out because I never really used them before ( I got the jonway a month ago, brand spanking new) the last time I flicked them on, they went out, I'm pretty mechanically illiterate so I assumed that maybe I blew the lightbulb, and although odd, I said to myself, I've never even needed the high beams so I'll worry about them later. This morning I started it up, took it down to gas up and grab cigarettes, and when I tried to turn it back on, Nothing. No power at all. No lights, No engine trying to turn over, No fuel guage, Nothing. I was stumped so I tried to kick start it and that didnt work, I opened the cover to the battery slot just to see if maybe anything was disconnected, but there was nothing that I could tell. So I borrowed an explorer, opened the back and stuffed it in and brought it home thinking the battery just somehow needed to be charged. My dad is a whiz with motorcycles so he brought over his trickle charger and we plugged it in and he expected the lights to at least come on, tho maybe dimly, instantly, but nothing happened.
Its now been charging for a few hours and it still wont do anything (no lights, no fuel guage power, no horn, wont start)
I'm really praying you guys can give me a suggestion or anything as I'm new to this scooter thing still, and I'm slowly learning stuff but this is way out of my league. Its still charging right now but I really need it to get to work, I can get a ride for a few days but I cant get a ride everyday so I'm screwed if this thing doesnt work soon.
after reading a few posts here (which you guys have been very helpful in, which is amazing that you guys provide such a service to people who are new to these scooters) that sometimes the fuse will look good but be blown, and I'm really hoping thats all it is but I'm gonna let it trickle charge for the time being and if it still wont do anything in the morning obviously I'm gonna have to start brainstorming what else it could be but the fuse is the first thing I'm gonna check after I know its not the battery.
Its a jonway agility m30 2012 4 stroke, it has less than 300km on it. I've owned it for a little over a month.
any help would be greatly appreciated, Happy fathers day!

thanks guys, It turns out it was the gas filter was cracked, but it wasnt visible. luckily a drop leaked out one morning just as i was about to start it up and i noticed it came from the gas filter, which i then replaced and it was running fine for a week, but now it has a totally different issue. I really appreciate your suggestions guys. I'm new to this scooter thing but I'm gonna make a new thread about my new issue and I'm praying to god you guys can help me and I didnt just waste 900 dollars. ugh

Hi, I purchased a brand new 4 stroke 50 cc scooter a month ago, and I store it in my garage when I'm not using it. I've recently noticed that its making my garage and whole basement smell like gas also even when its not in use. I bought it to take to work everyday, and one of the security guys told me that I could no longer park it on the bike rack we have at work (I work at a hospital) because patients were complaining that it smelled of gas. I've browsed the forum a bit and only saw a thread where someone said that his scooter smelled like gas but it was also stalling everytime it idled, so I wasnt sure if I should follow the same instructions as you guys gave him to fix his issue. This is my first vehicle whatsoever, but my father has owned motorcycles his whole life so I'm gonna ask him to assist me in doing whatever you guys suggest. thanks!
