Okay, so after a few days of riding with the gas cap loosened, I didn't have any problems whatsoever... until today. It took a few tries to start it up and then as soon as I left the parking lot and got on the street it decelerated and died. This was about 2 minutes after it started. So... I'm not sure what's wrong. I'll check out the gas vent, but this is a new problem, so any other suggestions are welcome!

My 2008 150cc Roketa Scooter has been acting funny the past few days. If I hit about 45 or 50mph after about 10 min of riding, it slows down on it's own and dies. It takes a few minutes before she'll start back up again. It'll turn over, but won't start. Once, I kept on the throttle even tho it was trying to slow down and it POPPED with a backfire and went back up to speed.
I took it to my mechanic and he changed the spark plug, checked the oil (it was fine) and made sure everything else was as it should be. It doesn't happen all the time, but I'm now nervous to ride it for fear that it'll die in the middle of the road. Could this be an ignition coil issue?
