fixing up used scooter, its a roketta mc-04 2010/11 i think. only has 400 miles on it. needed new head as one of the exhaust post broke off.
all that is done and working fine, but we have gone through 2 CVT belts now, first two were cheap, but now i have a GATE 842-20-30 on there, and we also replaced the entire variator and rollers assembly. Gates belt feels solid, and now we felt it was ready to run, but once back in the warehouse we smelled rubber, pulled off the transmition cover check for rubbing or wear and found none. So we only have one piece left to check and the clutch should be fine with only 400 some miles, pulled off the bell cover with impact and the clutch is stuck. CAN NOT PULL IT OFF, don't know why or how but its on there.
any suggestions on pulling it off? or what would cause it to get stuck?? 2 shredded belts we cleaned up real well behind them, but could some of it be holding the clutch to the bearing? or shaft....
the odd thing is the clutch feels smooth turns like it should, the rear tire feels like something is binding it, but we know it needs new drum brakes which we just haven't installed.
