mine does it as well. the temp gauge stays at the bottom doesnt seem to move. i just assume its broken.

adjusted the valves as per some of the youtube videos and also changed the the fluids out. and my problems are gone. thanks for all the advice, it goes a long way.

Thanks for the advice. Yeah being new to these things requires some help. Gonna hit the store and buying some tools for the gap distance measurement.
I was getting to about 60 mph in the beginning and it slowly changed. But I will be changing the oil and doing a part inspection as well also.

I bought a used JCL 250 not sure of the model from my friend. I was getting good speed for about a week now I am getting only about 30mph out of it. Also when I am slowing or idling I get a puttering sound and sometimes it stalls.
I have read somethings about lean/rich and carb settings but unsure about tinkering till I could get some advice.
