sorry all the numbers on my keyboard dont work due to beer spill.. fourty miles on bike, runs well, but, is it normal for the cooling fan to go on an off at fifty mph, or any speed as i have noticed? goes on and off at idle, which is normal. bike never runs to hot according to temp guage.
I was thinking of adding some fins to the fairings to channel more air to the radiator... any feedback would be cool... pop jon.

pappajon, i have an 07 jcl mp250a and my fan cycles on and off normally at speeds below 50 but after 50 mph my fan stays on just most of the time. temp guage never goes above a little less that 1/2 way. it has been that way now for 4 years. hope this helps. barnie

Hi Barnie, my temp guage runs in the same range! 4 years sounds great, did you have to adjust the valve clearance during that time?.

I adjusted the valves int .004 and exh .006 when it was new and I re-adjust about every 1500 miles. There is a trick I can give you if you are going to adjust yours.. Barnie
