I've been beating on this thing for the last 30 minutes and it ain't budged. Here's what I did. I got the dustcover and c-clip off, then I found a big wrench and slid it onto the shaft and put the washers and castle nut on. This gave me something to hammer on(the wrench). It hasn't budged. I don't want to tear anything up. Can anyone tell me any tips to get these axles out. It looks like rain moving in.

Did you sand the old paint at all? 600 grit is good for that. Just sand until it's not shiny. Then clean everything real good. Fusion is a good choice for painting plastic.

How in the hell they they come off? The Castle Nut MUST not have had a Cotter pin in it? But anyways ok here is the DUST cover and the CLIP is right behind it as well as the bearing. Alleyoop WAS THERE A COTTER PIN IN THE CASTLE NUT LIKE THIS: Now look at your AXLE and see if you have the Safety Floating rings which is held by the two bolts in this picture. If you do you have to take the two bolts out to take the axle out. Hey Alley, I'm trying to get the axles out of my trike right now, because my bearing is shot. I've got the dust cover and c-clip out, but the axle isn't coming out. Do these trikes not have anything in the differential holding the axle? I'm hoping you or someone else respond before I go outside with my hammer ;D I don't want to break something getting too rough with it. Edit: Mine doesn't have the 2 bolts or floating washer.
