Repaint the body parts. As for starting it up, I'd follow the PDI instructions found here: x1scooters.com/pdi.html just to make sure the basics have been covered. You'll probably want to take the carb off and clean out the jets and passages while you're at it. Change the spark plug too. congrats on your new trikes! There's lots of knowledge on this forum, so you're at the right place.

Have you changed all the vacuum and fuel lines yet? These Chinese scooters get lean in a hurry. Do that, adjust the valves and you'll see a big difference.

18/36 or 18/35? I thought you had to go up and down the same number of teeth.

It looks very ruckus without the panels. I'd be tempted to leave it that way, lol!

Make sure the spark plug boot is all the way on. Sometimes you'll think they are, but they aren't.

Good news! I talked to my dealer today and he said he told his rep that I needed an axle and hub because of a failed axle bearing and it looks like the parts will be coming for free! I'm a month past warranty, so I was kinda shocked, LOL.

Yep, what they said. These scooters don't have wet clutches.

Anyone know how much an axle and hub should cost? I'm going to get the dealer to order the replacements for me, but I don't want to get screwed in the process.

I gave up. I'm gonna have to take it somewhere and have it done. I read somewhere on this forum that a guy put the hub on and used a block of wood against it and hit it with a hammer. Don't do that, it broke my hub. So now I have to get a new hub too. Also, after looking a little closer, I probably will need an axle too. It looks like it's moving around inside the race of the bearing. Hopefully my dealer will have a hub and axle. I'll find out Monday. The funny thing is, while I was beating on the right side, the left side popped out on it's own(I had the c-clip out to do both sides while I was at it). I'm figuring the bad bearing/axle generated enough heat to swell the outer race of the bearing and tighten it in the tube. This is run-of-the-mill luck for me
