Well I just ordered TALLER Tranny Gears, the tallest I could fine,
The Trike came with 13/40 and I currently have 16/37 I just ordered 18/36 gears. I have plenty of power and Just want to cruise at 55-60 at even lower rpms than I am able to now.

18/36 or 18/35? I thought you had to go up and down the same number of teeth.

18/36 and no you do not have to go up and down the same number of teeth.

Welpt, the gears arrived yesterday and big difference from the Originals. Now remember I have the 16/37 gears currently in right now.

The Reduction Gear on your current CounterShaft has to be taken off and Pressed Onto the New Counter Shaft that has more Teeth.
Here is a Reduction Gear and Counter Shaft setup:

Hey Alleyoop, does this set up affect bottom end at all?

It will effect bottom end if your motor does not have good low end torque to pull the taller gears.
Now remember I have the 16/37 in there right now and have no problems with those it cranks up to speed quick when I twist the throttle and the rpms climb up to 6000 right away.

how hard is to replace the gears ? I might be interested in the old gears.
