Well I got my Sunny Roadrunner 300 and disrobed her of her body to do my Big Guy PDI. Still have some more work to do. Rode her once for about 5 minutes in the dark with no lights(not smart). I'll be posting pictures as soon as I figure that out and find some time. I'll share my experience and findings-good and bad(more good so far) soon too. Thanks to everyone on this forum for their information which has been invaluable so far(owner's manual is so bad it's funny). ;D

Congraulations New2scootn, You are right about the owners manual it is a joke and funny to boot. Use photobucket it is free and you can use their editor to put text on your pictures etc.. It is easy to use, Create several albums for different different catagories, I have 7 different albums so when I want to put up pictures of carbs for the troops I go to the Carb Album and not have to go through pages and pages to find the carb pictures.
Again Congratulations on your new toy and ride safe. Alleyoop

Well here's what a MC_D300TKB reverse trike looks like without her pretty body... and yes, I did ride her like this! Sorry the pics went away for a while... remind me not to move pics to different albums on photobucket ever again! There's a lot of vibration from the rear wheel spinnin' her up on the center stand so I guess I'll be pulling it off and getting it balanced... One more thing to do before getting her bod back on and getting out on the road!

Ah man!!! I can't get those pics to show up, I'd love to see what OUR sunnies look like naked. I've often wondered that myself. must look strange as long and wide as they are.

How hard of a task was it to undress her? I'm wanting to undress mine and look around. I also need to fix my body lock because its not wanting to stay locked. The lock handle isn't engaging the lock properly. Seems like my cable got stretched somehow.

It looks very ruckus without the panels. I'd be tempted to leave it that way, lol!

Thanks Alleyoop. Sorry about the pictures Daddue11. After I posted them I decided I didn't like the album they were in on Photobucket so I moved them and voila, they all went away. Finally figured out how to get them back so they are all there again. I kinda like her rugged naked look... And I agree, it's great that at least we three(with Sunny 300's) can share our findings and bounce ideas off each other. Hopefully others will join soon too. And to Justincrediblem... taking her body off was no picnic but wasn't too bad. Took pictures as I went and followed the Big Guy's recommendation and as each new body panel came off, all of the seemingly 1000's of screws went into their own little ziplock bag taped to the panel. So of course I have these panels carefully placed all over downstairs in the house and the wife... well I digress. I think I might eventually post these pics with little arrows showing where the hardware is and where the hardware you don't need to bother with is. That issue you mentioned about your body lock(I am assuming you mean the "tilt lock" so she'll stand on her own without using the center stand) doesn't surprise me. My cable pulled out of the actuator lever on the handlebar while I was "showin' her off" to an admirer so I had to quickly go to the center stand. When everything is working right you need to "feel" for this lock by starting to pull on the lever while slowly rocking the trike back and forth until the pin seats into the hole in the frame bracket-then you can pull the lever the rest of the way to fully engage the lock. If you start yankin' on the lever without the pin being lined up you"re asking for trouble and something's gonna have to give... in my case the cable pulled out of the retainer at the handlebar(I would say this is probably the weakest link). Luckily my cable didn't break(still had the crimp ball at the end) and I was able to fix it by using two small washers(cutting one side to spread and slip them around the cable) then seating them in the handlebar retainer. The adjustment of the cable is down by the pin and if the body is on you will have to remove the windshield and front panel underneath(which gives you access to other goodies as well-lights, electrical connections, the radiator cap(of all places to hide the radiator cap!). While you're in there check to make sure that none of the wiring is dangling in or near the tilt lock pin or switches(like it was on mine)-that's an electrical nightmare waiting to happen. Well I'm getting long winded here and I'll be posting more later about all the "challenges" I've faced so far. I will mention one more thing, and something all Roadrunner 300 owners should check. My trike leaked gasoline from two places-a pinhole in the fitting for the fuel line(leaked like a flippin' geyser when I first started crankin' her over). The second leak was real subtle-a very slight odor of gas in the garage that I just figured was from my gas can that I usually keep in the shed. Well I stumbled on a couple of wet spots on the black plastic undercover on the bottom of the trike and sure enough-gas. Then I looked up to see where it was coming from and couldn't believe that there is a drain bolt on the bottom of the fuel tank and it wasn't tight enough. If her body had been on I never would have seen this but you can access it without removing any panels. Guess that's enough for now-off to get rear wheel balanced tomorrow(hopefully the tire is not out of round!).

Hey, With that seat on there it does look kinda tuff and actually,, unlike some women I've known it even looks good undressed.lol But in all seriousness ,I'll let you guys in on whatever I find out about my Roadrunner , be it by a mechanic or by myself , I've not had a free minute to even ride it the last couple of months let alone wrench on it. We've been restaffing at my work so I'm not only the director at 2 places but also the training instructer also. Great staff members but free time is at a minimum. Thanks for the pix and the news sirs.

Thank you for the pics and info on your Tilt lock.
daddue11, to remove the air filter cover, the most easiest way is to remove the interior of the left side compartment. Without removing the interior compartment it is very aggravating and time consuming to remove the air filter cover.

Well a lot has happened in the past couple of days... Got the rear wheel balanced(took 3 and 3/4 oz of weights to balance that little wheel!) and now vibration is non existent. Had her up to 50 mph and smooth. If you guys still have vibration I think you should definitely have your rear wheel checked for balance. So finally it's time to get her body back on. I bolt the front end on and carefully hook up all the electrical connectors and am looking forward to taking her out for a spin around the block at night to check out the headlights and... no headlights! No high beam, no low beam, but every other light is working. So I figure probably some crappy bulbs and take the low beam out and it looks fine. I check for power at the connector-nothing. Then I check the "flash to pass" button and low and behold it works the high beam! Now I'm really puzzled and begin thinking that when I was fixing the tilt lock lever and had the handlebar switch apart that maybe I pinched a wire going back together. So I tear the handlebar headlight switch apart and remove all of the switches and test them-all switches work but no power to main headlight switch. So before wasting any more time I called Carl at Hotrodpocketbikes(where I bought her) and left a message that I needed some tech support. In mean time I printed out some wiring diagrams from this forum(good stuff) and to make a long story short, snipped the dead wire and refed it with the hot wire going to the flash to pass switch. Works perfectly and I didn't have to tear any wire harnesses apart. Carl got back to me today(he has always gotten back to me and was great all through the ordering process) so I'm sure he was relieved when I told him I got it fixed. Took her out tonight after dark and really like the headlights(she still doesn't have back end on so no brake lights). When I got back I figured I'd engage the tilt lock instead of using the center stand and man... I mean man, that tilt lock beeper is ultra annoying. Well no more, I found the module and pulled it out and put some electric tape around the open end(the beeper horn) and now you can barely hear the annoying beeper but you still get the visual dummy light flashing on the dash as a reminder(which you don't get if you just unplug the module). Here's some pics showing where it is-you should be able to get to it by just removing the windshield and the front cover--it's a lot easier to get at from behind the front cowl with the lower dash panels removed though. Hopefully should have her full bod back on tomorrow... but of course it's supposed to rain. Guess I could always get her registered and all legal though!

Nice going, nice pictures that will help the guys with the same problems. And yes unbalanced wheels will give you a lot of vibrations I know my rear wheels on my trike also needed to be balanced one took 3ozs and the other 2ozs but it rolls nice and smooth. Alleyoop

new2scootn, how do you remove the rear tire? I have wondered this since I can not see lug nuts to remove like the front tires. I was thinking of balancing the front tires because they seem to "hop" at higher speeds. I also notice the vibration of the back tire as well at higher speeds. I just am not sure how to remove the rear tire. Also, did a tire shop balance it for you? I'm assuming the machine they put regular vehicle tires that spins is the tire balancing machine.

Great pics and info New2scootn,First thing I'll have checked is the balance on ALL the wheels. I think someone here or another site said that the rule of thumb was if it felt like the front end that means it's the back and vice versa. Thanks again friend.
