Taking the rear wheel off is not too bad if you have the needed metric tools. First you need to remove the muffler. The muffler is surprisingly heavy so remove the two long cap nuts securing the pipe to the engine first. Now remove the three bolts holding the muffler to the swing arm saving the top one for last so the muffler is supported. Remove the muffler then you can remove the two bolts holding the swing arm and the one bolt securing the brake line. Now you can remove the shock absorber bolt and secure the shock up and out of the way. The fun part now is to remove the axle nut. It's pretty tight so it helps to leave the tire on the ground with the weight of the trike on it or it's gonna want to spin as you try to remove the nut. Once you get the nut loose, put her back on the center stand and spin the nut off and remove the swing arm. Now the wheel will slide right off the axle shaft. Make sure to take note of the placement of all washers on the bolts you remove(caliper bolts have them and axle nut has one if I am remembering right). I took mine to a local cycle/scooter repair shop and had them spin balance it(dynamic balancing). I just added Ride On tire sealant(which is supposed to balance the wheels too) to the front tires. I rode her after and almost no vibration at 55 to 65 mph but kind of a shudder at 48. I might try adding a little more to each tire or I'll pull them off too and get them spin balanced. Oh yeah, and I think you'll like this... here's MY Sunny Roadrunner 300 and HER big brother(LOL!!) Hey, it's not a Raptor but it is a Ford! 2005 Ranger. She ain't no show truck but I'll bet she passes a lot more gas stations than that Raptor! I've been enjoying riding the trike to work the last couple of days and now have about 120 miles on her. Coming home from work today though she gave me a scare... I had just gotten up to speed(55 mph) and suddenly she lost power(like my motorcycle does when the gas is low and you need to switch to reserve). I just filled her up the evening before so I knew the tank was full. Well I just pulled her to the side of the road and started thinking about what story I was gonna tell my wife to get her to come pick my Chinese reverse trike scooter obsessed arse up and after a bit of prolonged cranking she started up and ran normally. No other incident the rest of the way home. Water in the gas? Crap in the carb? Who knows, but I had some Seafoam that I have been meaning to add to the fuel in the truck so I put some in her tank and took her out for an evening ride and she ran great. Well hope everyone is enjoying their trikes-I've got to get some shut eye.

Hey justincrediblem, just posted some info you might be interested in on general discussion/daddue11's cure for the blues thread. Made some tweaks and had a great ride with hardly any vibration. Hope it helps.

Thank you new2scootn for the very helpful info and pics. I also had a complete loss of power early on with my scooter. But started back up after a few minutes. I ended up having to get a new coil and coil wire though. My new issue is speed. I'm 6'1, 160 pounds and nothing but FLAT highways down in south florida. And I can only get the trike up to 60mph full throttle. I see you go yours as fast as 72mph. I'm beginning to wonder if my speedometer is calibrated right. I almost get run over though when im doing 59mph so I am thinking more like the trike is having some sort of speed issue. The throttle is opening the Carb as far as the Carb will open.
new spark plug, new oil, new fuel filter, 93 octane v-power shell fuel, fuel medic fuel stabailizer and the bike still only gets to 60 mph.

I am wondering if maybe it's the fuel. I am running regular 87 octane and she doesn't ping(regular burns faster and may be giving more power). I would try a tank of regular next fill up-worth a try.

I will try that. My first couple of tanks I used 90 octane rec fuel that doesn't have ethynol. But it hasn't ever gotten over 62mph in the 1020 miles I've put on the trike.

The wobble at around 20 mph has gotten worse and is more consistant. I did get the trike up to 73 mph today. Not sure where the speed came from but it was there.
After examining the rear tire for a wiggle or bent rim I noticed I have wire showing in a spot and part of the tire is bald and the other half of the tire has tread still! The bald part is not on the side of the tire either, its on the bottom of the tire. I don't know what would cause that. But I ordered a new tire and when it gets delivered I will get it installed and balanced. I was thinking of changing the wheel bearing as well. The rear tire may be the cause of my wobble. I also noticed the front tires look like they may have come out of alignment so I need to align them again. But at high speed the trike seems to ride pretty smooth except for a little wheel hop from the front. I will get the front tires balanced too.

I re-aligned the front tires because they were not aligned properly. And I don't know if the rear tire is more noticeable now or what but I can't even ride the trike. The violent wobble is so bad that I'm afraid I will bend something in the front end. I sure hope I didn't do anything when aligning the front tires. Right tire had six threads showing on the alignment rod while the left tire had 9 threads showing. Not sure how it got so much out of ligament. But after making both tires show 9 threads each the tires are now straight up and down. I thought I would have a smoother test ride but boy was I wrong. About 15 miles per hour the shake and wobble from the front tires is so bad I can't even drive her. The rear tire issue is def a bad tire that is out of round. Hoping the new balanced rear tire and balanced front tires will get rid of the nightmare I am suffering right now. Its got me worried big time.

Help. I am trying to replace the drive belt on my D300TKB. I am having trouble getting the CVT cover off of the scooter. I have removed all of the bolts around the perimeter of the cover and the two small plastic covers on the CVT cover. Do I have to remove the axle nut to get the CVT cover off? Does anyone know what the belt size is so I can go ahead and order 2 new ones (one spare)?

Any advise would greatly help. Thanks

Didn't I read here somewhere that the Linhai has a bolt under a piece of foam glued in the middle of the cover? He may still have a bolt holding it.

I felt behind and all around the CVT cover but could not find anything pointing toward the cover from the back side.

No, this bolt was square in the middle of the variator cover, facing out, on the face of the variator cover, on the left side of the bike. On that picture of the left side above I see a strip of black plastic and an oval shaped aluminum colored thing on the cover. Can it be under one of those things?

When I removed that cover, there is a bolt with a nut that turns wher I spin the back tire. I think it is the shaft that the back CVT pulley is on. It doesn't look like I have to remove the nut to remove the cover.
