A little ol Skool mechanics trick. Take a long flat blade screwdriver. Press the blade end firmly against any engine or transmission surface. Wrap your fingers around the end of the handle so that you can cup your hand to your ear while grasping the handle. Probe different surfaces this way.
You will be surprised how well this works. I can easily tell, for example, which valve is chattering, intake or exhaust. Use a thin shaft screwdriver for best results.

Ah, lovely, thank you. Must be used for a carb heater, or Cali emissions, or something. Thanks again.

Hi, I have a recently purchased 2008 Helix clone Wildfire scooter with a CN250 and a Keihin carb. In going over the bike I noticed a nipple on the carb that isn't connected to anything. It's located adjacent to and under the starting enrichment device. Are they related? I've not found any docs that describe hose routing well for these bikes so I thought I'd ask and see if anyone knows what that's for. Thanks for reading!
