Turned out it was the CDI... thanks again for all the help guys this is a great forum!! Ill be sure and send anyone I know with scooter problems this way! Tons of em around here! Wish you guys the best!

On the way to pick up the parts I'm going to go ahead and pick up a CDI also just to be safe!! Ill let ya know how it goes asap!

Oh wow just slung the coil and water was going everywhere. It is a weak spark now millsc. Thanks again to you both for your help!

Pulled the coil was wet inside the housing the owner said this was what happened before so I'm gonna roll with it and try to find one tomorrow if not then ill get the CDI! If that doesn't work he can have the scooter back!!

Thanks for all your help Alleyoop. I spoke with the owner today and he said this happened before when it got rained on. He said he could get spark but not enough to fire the engine. Said he wound up having to replace the coil. I asked him the CDI or the coil he said coil. Said it was round and located near the rear of the scooter. Is this what the CDI wires go to? Is it called an ignition coil wire? Does this sou d like it could be the problem? The spark isn't as strong as it was now.

Lol you guys are great and I truly appreciate the help! Sorry like I said I'm just borrowing this scooter for a few weeks and I left my tools at his house where I was working on it. The Carbs are really simple don't need anything but some screwdrivers so...... I have a buddy that has a scooter rental shop ill call him inn the am and see if he has any CDIS I doubt it though he just sold the shop and is packing up moving. I put a fan on it to try and air it out if something did get wet.

Don't know where to get one millsc! Located it on the scooter looks like it would stay nice and dry checked spark again and it will arc from the screwdriver to my finger about 1/16" maybe a little more. I DONT GET IT!

Filter was dry as a bone! All lines are correct vacuum and supply lines in correct spots cant get the plug out till tomorrow no socket here ...

Thanks for all your help! Ill recheck all the lines and put the filter infront of the heater for the night and start on it in the AM!

Very well could be Alleyoop! Didn't think a wet filter would keep it from firing! Should it fire if I remove the filter?

Pulled the sparkplug wire off put a screwdriver in it and turned it over it hits not real real strong but it lets ya know its there so I do have spark. Like I said I'm no scooter mechanic so I'm not sure what the coil looks like or where its located lol. Bullet to the brain! I can work on any old car or anything I'm familiar with just lost on this thing!
