Kz, Thought I would share a picture with you of my recent purchase of a 2007 Kymco Xciting 500. I bought this bike on E-Bay and it has 3700 miles on it, this is a nice bike so far. The color is metalic gray and it has a few scratchs but there not to bad.

kalee No DUH! I just put that up to show you turds a real rear end YOU Yokels . That rear end is for Harleys, Yamahas and Indians to actually convert them into real trikes. Alleyoop I'll bet thats costly, If your going that route might as well get the whole bike only a few dollars more kalee

The kit he has on they do not make it like that anymore, they improved the protective metal plate on the rear: You can see what they currently have on their website: Alleyoop www.mtcvoyager.com/trike-kits/This is what is on his HONDA: This is on the Burgman I bought a few years back and sold to my brother-in law: Thanks Alley for the info. kalee

Here I go again being a little thick between the ears, while I was in the process of removing the lock for the seat I had knocked a wire loose ( This is showing everyone including myself how well these wires are put together ) . Seeing this wire kept bugging me it was a blue wire with a white stripe male bullet end and the one left open was a yellow wire with green stripe female bullet. Now normally you wouldnt put these two together, Today I hooked the two wires together and wallla I had spark at the spark plug, guess it wasnt the coil after all.It pays to have a color wiring diagram and I got mine off the SD library. And it also tells you in the diagram these wires may be different color kalee

Alley, I done a continuity test using a multimeter on the coil & plug wire I put the red probe in spark plug end and black probe on each spade and the hand came up to #8 on the scale didnt make a full swing from side to side, is this telling me the coil & wire are ok?

Yea for the coil wire you can only check for continuity, Hope you found the Video on testing all the wires going and coming out of your CDI. it could be a bad pickup coil bad cdi bad coil or even a bad stator. But always check for a good ground from frame to motor first. Checked ground from motor to frame and it tested good, still testing I think its the coil but not sure. kalee When I first bought it and rode it home, next day I went to go for a ride and it wouldnt start took it back to dealer ( had to haul it )and they said they replaced the coil. Dont know what is burning out the coil in such low mileage. kalee
