It only does it when it's hot out though. I had the same issue with my Piaggio 150. I ended up cutting the vent line off carb installing a "T" with a filter on it to keep debris out. Scoot ran great after that. Some people recommended drilling a small hole in gas cap......didn't want to do that. Vapor lock might be the issue, heat causing the tank to pressurize and flood the carb.
Good luck!

Update on valve adjustments......
WOW it was easy! The videos were a big help as well as all you kats were!
Its not perfect, but a hell of a lot better. I also did a AMSOIL synthetic oil change on the scooter as well. For this being my first Chinese scooter I'm having fun with it!
Cheers, Kracker

Possible reasons your scooter is ticking:- Your artificial knee needs oil.

Hey, I resemble that remark (LOL) Its amazing the technology today. My great uncle had a scary looking prostatic that scared us as kids. Its awesome to see people with disability's living and doing better then most people who take life for granted.
Rock on brother!

Just so I don't get the Luke mentality, I'll go with the Piaggio. Like you say I'm sure I can scout around for a good deal on a used one. My buddy got 9,000 miles on his MP3 and has never had an issue as well.

So I did the old screw driver to the top of motor and my ear on handle.....the tic is there! If it is valve adjustment I'll have to have it done. I've never done them and the bad back makes me limited on what I can do.........this sucks.
