<UPDATE> So all my issues with the Jonway MP-150 are taken care of. Turns out it was indeed an earlier issue with the CDI module. Anyhow thanks to all for the help. Will be posting pics when i can. In the mean time i have racked up 500 miles with her and can't complain !!!

I just read about your moped having slow takeoff issues and from what your saying it seems that your CDI might be set to a backed off timing if it's an adjustable one. Sometimes before a CDI goes they can act that way but it depends on a few things, One of which may be due to valve timing or even to much fuel from the carb. Carefully take it apart and clean it all out with WD40 and soak all the parts in a tub of it, then check to make sure there is no gunk or sediment built up on the needle of the float vale, if there is sediment then i am willing to bet you might not be getting the right fuel mixture. If it's all clean and i mean the whole carb then make sure the throttle valve and diaphragm are intact and not cracked. if that does not help get back at me here or one of the other scooter guy's. ask others for advice to. Best of luck.

Ok so i picked up a Titan MC-D300cc Touring moped from a friend for about $150.00 The moped will start and idle beautifully but.....when i throttle up it will go about halfway and then begin to bog down and if i keep increasing the throttle it dies out completely. If i go halfway and then let off it will return to a smooth steady idle again. It acts like the air filter is plugged but i removed that and tried it without and still get the same results. Can one of you more advanced guys give me some pointers?

Ok, so I found out my odometer says 600km, so I am taking a guess and going to say my scooter hasn't even really been broke in. It would explain the clean carb that is original, and the fresh new looking spark plug. If she is really as low milage as I think she is I might have found a cherry for a scooter!! I may need some advice about a Honda Helix 250 I am getting from a friend, but I will let you know.

Well I got spark, and she purrs nicely! Even has some zip to.her and a bit of impressive speed to. I am shocked that she has such life and rides so smoothly to. Thanks guys for the much needed help. She is about to have some serious miles put on her and I even replaced the plug, cdi, coil, and drive belt to.make shure she would be ready to go, even gave her a fresh battery and fresh fuel filter and oil to. I don't play with not doing things ahead of time. Preventative maimtenance is key with these scooters from what I have learned and noticed. Anyways I will add pics when I can. Thanks again for the help.

The kill switch was in the Run setting and yes I had the sidestand down, As for a ground wire I can't find one from frame to engine anywhere. Not sure about power coming from coil to plug but I already ordered a new CDI and coil off ebay.

Thanks, I decided to solder the nipple that was on the bottom of my carb/float. I know it is to be a drain but they must have messed that one up cause there was no drain screw and the former owner had the fuel line hooked to that drain line. In all I figured out why the fuel was being forced out the carb vent pipe. Now I got a new issue. I am getting gas, checked the plug and it is gently wet with gas, and yet I am not getting spark at all. I do know the stator is working cause when I crank the engine the lights pulsate gently. So the stator works, and I got fuel, just need that all important spark! can you suggest anything for help?

Your Automoto is a very cool trike and that windshield wiper is an ingenious add on to a slick bike. I really want to beef-up my GY6-150cc to a bit more like a 200cc, she is a great bike but I do like the idea of more speed and power. And to think...they call these machines "cheap Chinese" lol Idiots!

I am Phil and I recently picked up a GY6 Velocity 150 moped and have been puzelled as to what pipe runs where for fuel into the carb. The problem was I could not get any fuel and I checked the Filter, and vacume hoses, now I did unhook the hoses from the carb and took the carb out and checked it and the thing looks new, like it never seen fuel. Yet the guy I got it from stated it ran and then he parked it and an hour later it would not run again. All the electronics seem to be working great though the battery will not hold a charge for more then three days. My question is which port on the carb does the fuel line come in at? I fear I might have run my fuel line to the carb drain cause the carb spills fuel when I crank engine over. Please help if and where you can.
