Ok I checked the stator output according to that link to the Honda site and I got 16 amps.....does that mean I need a new regulator? Zoomer

OK, I think I'm getting somewhere. I pulled on the battery cables and one was loose and gunked up. I cleaned it with baking soda and wd40 and tightened it. The volts don't cut in and out but still not above 11 or 12. It says check the continity on the rectifier wires in the manual. Its been a while since I've worked on bikes what do I do? Zoomer

I'm baaaaaaaaack!! Got sidetracked with some domestic problems but I finally got the mistake ok'd with the DMV. Turns out Mr. Cookees was right.....there was a sticker on the crossbar with enuf numbers to keep the state happy. Got some plates and the its running ok after I got some decent gas through it. Thing is...I did get a new battery but it keeps running down. I don't think its charging, any ideas on how to see if the charging system is working right? Zoomer

Thanks for the info guys. I downloaded that manual Mr. Cookees and saw where the VIN is SUPPOSED to be. You guys won't frickin' believe this....the numbers were ground off with a grinder! I asked the significant other for the paperwork since I just gave her the cash for her sister and she was supposed to handle the DMV part. Guess what? Her sister just took the wad of cash and still hasn't got the wifey the title. I think this damn thing is stolen! Her sister won't answer her cell now she's obviously dodging me. Well, I still have to get it running, I'll do the gas tank thing Runningslow and see what happens. So back to my original question, are these things junk or what? In the mean time I don't know if i should contact the cops or not, they might just haul the piece o' crap off. Maybe I could turn it into a backyard grill, it kind of looks like one. Zoomer

Hey, just call me Zoomer, that's been my nickname forever. I jsut bought this: and don't know squat about it except it runs like crap. I bought from my sister in law because she got a divorce and needed the coin. Well, I do know SOMETHING about it, it's butt ugly. Anybody else have one of these monstrosities? Anyway, I'm from Mobile AL so howdy and glad to meet y'all. Zoomer

I'm not talking about the clothes kind either! My wife's sister needed some bucks because of D-I-V-O-R-C-E so I bought this fugly scooter off of her for $500.00: Who designed this thing? It looks like a genetic mutation of a normal scooter. I guess I could live with the way it looks (have to if I'm going to live with the significant other : but it runs like crap. It sat unused for about a year except for when the el-creepo ex got off his arse once in a while to start it. I've already dropped 80 bucks into a battery from a dirt bike shop and am not wild about pouring more money into it. It's got this emblem on the back: A buddy of mine who's kinda into scooters said this is CF moto which is a good scooter. Maybe so but this is what it does: 1. Starts but only after cranking it for about five minutes and nursing the throttle 2. Once it gets going it will run kinda OK after about 10 minutes 3. It does bog down with very much throttle so you have to slowly twist the throttle and nurse it up to speed. 4. If I shut it down for just a few minutes I have to go through the nurse Ratchet thing again to get it going. If I shut it down but start it back up right away it'll start pretty easy. 5. Top speed is 52 MPH by my GPS, is this normal? I've worked on bikes up to about 500cc but this thing is weird. The cylinder is verticle and there's no shifting, just twist the throttle (very slowly). There's a lot of hoses and a couple black plastic canisters on it too, I guess this is pollution stuff. I've already got some digs about this thing from my friends about the way it looks. Maybe if I can get it going right they'll shut up (I doubt it ). So is this Moto company OK? Any suggestions on getting it running right? Is there a manual somewhere for this thing? The loser ex-husband says he doesn't have a manual but he's not being helpful....he's being a real schlong about the whole thing. I just need a place to start on fixing this thing....HELP!
