Hey! I took the Mrs. out to breakfast this morning on the bike and everything went fine! The fan was working well and the temp.guage was below half all the time we were riding. (3hrs) when we came out of the restaurant, it was time to find out if the charging sys. was doing its job. We held our breath and Vrrroooom! It started right up. As I have said previously, I have never worked on a bike like this before and thanks to you all, I am now more confident and comfortable with doing so. Thank you all for your time and support. You all ROCK!

Sorry it took so long to respond. I have been trying to stay cool during this crazy heat wave here in PA. I put my bike back to gether today. It started right up. Now I have to check to see if the battery is being charged. I will let you know how it goes tomorrow evening. My wife's friend is getting married tomorrow so, I am not sure of what time I will be getting back to my garage.

Thx everyone for all your help. I put my bike back together but I checked the 3 yellow wires for current and got about 26.0 on the 2 top ones and the bottom I got no reading at all. The yellow wires that I am talking about are the wires that come straight from the stator plug terminal. Is this right? This is a brand new stator. I am also getting a weird noise coming from the belt side when accelerating. Sounds like a loose chain sound inside the cvt cover. When I revved the engine, I got a reading of 12.58. When at rest it reads 12.29. I do not know what could be wrong Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you so much everyone for all of your valuable input and time.
Should I R&R the pickup sensor ( ignition pulse generator) as well since it is in the same compartment as the stator and they both were exposed to high heat temps? I would hate to have to go back in when I can just do it now?

If you look closely to the right ,you can see the oil plug. There is a piece of thread section that is missing. Also in photo one, the screw chambers mostly all of them are worn down at least 1/3 due to the rubbing! Whoever put this bike together should work in a pet shop and leave scooter building ALONE! I want to show you what the cover looks like but it will not let me paste the pics in this box. Do you know how to do this?

Thank you for responding Alleyoop. Can the stator be tested out of the bike? Is there a test that I can perform with a multi meter to see if it is working? Btw I also noticed that there were scraping marks where the stator was rubbing due to not being aligned. There was also little bits of fine pieces of metal inside too. I hope I can still use the same case cover. Yes or no.

Dughhhhh! Never mind. Although this is my first R&R stator, I think I did pretty good. You would not believe what I found inside the case though. The stator was reallyyyy loose. I took the screws that were holding the stator onto the case out with my fingers! All three screws were that loose. My questions are......... 1) would the loose screws prevent the stator from working? 2) when the case cover came off, a pin and a double gear came out. How exactly do these go back in? Is there a diagram for this section part?

Isn't that the oil compartment? Do I have to drain the oil first to get to the stator?

Hello! I hope I'm putting this in the proper place. I looked all over this site to find someone with a bike that looks like mine, well here goes. I have the same engine as in the photo here. (2012 Jonway YY250T 244cc) I was having dead batt issues since I bought the bike (brand new) a little over a year ago. So I bought a new batt. and still the same issue. So I checked the output of my charging sys. and discovered that it was not charging AT ALL. I purchased a brand new stator for $90.00 which I found cheaper after the fact on another site. (49.00) My problem is WHERE IS THE STATOR LOCATED? The place I bought the bike from stated that all I had to remove was the muffler and BAM there it is. NOT TRUE. Can someone please help me locate the stator so I can R&R it so I can get back on the road again. (It's been a month of not riding.) Arrrgh
