You guys have missed a hell of a great time. The little woman and I have put over 500 miles on the silverwing this week. Met some really nice people and it has only rained twice and both times at night.
Guy who lives near me bought a silverwing from one of the vendors and I'm gonna haul it to KC for him tomorrow.
We've had 2 days with BEAUTIFUL 200+ mile rides through the ozark and boston mountains. You should all try and make it next year. I have some pictures but I accidentally left my camera sitting on the scoot one of the nights it rained and it crapped out on me. Took some with the phone but it's not as good. Will post what I have when I get home.

This place is so beautiful. Yesterday we went on an all day ride and took the peel's ferry across bull shoals lake. I was a ride leader and we had an awesome time. You guys dont know what you are missing!

I went with 6 other scooters today from KC down 169 to Chanute, KS and had lunch and then on to Big Brutus at West mineral, KS. The actual ride mileage I logged was 392 miles, but I rode over 30 miles to get to the meeting spot so it was well over 400 for the day.  More Pictures can be found HERE. |

I got this trunk box in the mail today. I really like the design, but the orange stripe leaves something to be desired. I had some black spray paint sitting around and gave it a quick coat. Looks better.
The mounting bracket is a little worrisome. It has a quick release mechanism that seems a little flimsy. I may end up putting a bolt through it to secure it more tightly.
The back side looks like a light but is just a reflector. I think it would have been cool if it had places to add lights if one desired.
As far as space goes it's pretty nice and large. I went down to the boot store and bought myself a new pair of work boots and the entire box fit in the trunk with no problems. Work boot boxes are kinda large.
All in all it was worth the $75. I would buy one again.

My MC-54-250B says on it to use 15W40 and I've mostly used Castrol but they didn't have that this last time so I got Rotella T.

I think I'm gonna wait. I don't need any more debt right now anoyhow. I could come up with the cash but I dont wanna let go of it right now. Maybe get something early next year. Maybe santa will put a burgman in my stocking.
