Well just an update... Sorry its been so long.. Well I purchased a new ignition and as expected.. That was NOT the issue.. so wasted 50.00 little unhappy about that.. Will try to resell it here or on Ebay or somewhere. Sucks to wasted the money but its doing the same dam thing... So next step is to take it to a dealer and see if they can fix it.. If not going to try to sell it and get what I can.. Take the 1500 loss I guess.. Seems nothing is going to fix this mess....

Ok, so the fact that I have not continuity with anything except the red to blue/black with the key on.. I will buy a new ignition switch..
I guess that was the issue the whole time. And not the fact that is the wiring. from adding the cutoff switch..
Someone (uh hum) from another site had me test the ignition as well months ago, but with a piece of wire and not the tester like you did.. Guess we could of figured this out back then... Glad your not an electrician you might of had me do the same thing....
Just glad we could narrow it down.. I will order one tonight and when I get it put it on.. And will let you know if that was the issue...
Thanks for all your hard work..

Ok Mr Bashan.. Sorry it took this long.. One battery died had to recharge it.. Two today had some time to look at the bike..
These are the reading..
Per your testing.. The only thing that beeped was when the key was on and I did Red to blue/black
But one confusing thing.. In your illustrations You have the Red probe on the red wire and the black probe on the black wire... But on the drawings you had the black probe on the red wire and the red probe on the black wire...
Did I do it wrong with the Black on Black and Red on Red???
It was the KILL FUNCTION that I tested and NOT the kill switch.. sorry about that... the green and white/black wire per your pictures..

haha.. NOPE still here... Was in Miami this weekend visiting family ...
Bashan
Ok.. I have answers for you on the first part with the plug DISCONNECTED...
Red to black with the key off/on.. I get OL no ohms at all
Red to blue/black everything was fine (normal)
the kill switch green and white/black with key off and on I only got an OL reading....
Tonight I will try with it all plugged up and get back to you..

I have that one but it doesn't have a continuity tone, so bought this other one from Walmart. It was the only one they had with a tone.

OK so let's start with the first test off the bat. As you can see bought new multimeter not 10 bucks just saying. Set the settings on the one with the curved lines disconnected the connector of the key switch and put red on red and black on black with key on at first I got a OL. Got a better connection and the ohms are 147.3. Tried again and again OL. Turned key off and got OL. Tried w/ key on again this time 50.4. 2) tested blue/black all normal 3) tested two middle wires kill switch. Both we key on and off I get an OL.

OK let's start with the first post about the cutoff switch.
All those wires are already in tact. They were never touched. I'm a little confused on what you want me to do to restore the wires. The scooter starts. I connected the negative wire back to the battery. Should I remove all those wires you have pictured?
okay Bashan, maybe this is where the confusion is when I set up the cutoff switch all I did was take the black negative wire connected to the cutoff switch and ran a plain piece of wire to the negative terminal and that's how I set up the cutoff switch I never touched any of those other wires so maybe this is what caused the problem.

Hey guys im back.. Thank you for the nice words been a rough 2 weeks. I will be working on the scooter this weekend to try to tackle this mess..
Bashan, I had read on a helix site something very similar to this with an issue on the start button.. I am going to follow your lead and instructions on here and take that apart to see what is going on in that cluster.. And go from there..
Thanks again guys..

I had a death in my family on Monday and will be out of town till next week down in Miami.. Im sorry guys that I haven't been able to get this scooter worked on..
Since someone questioned my willingness to work on this its far from the truth.. My family comes first before a scooter.. I will be back next week and will begin working on it again...
I do appreciate all your help, but in this time my wife's family comes first.. See ya all soon...

This is how disgusting JR seems to be.. Not only is he an arse.. but this is what he had to say about Rich.. its a joke.. I came to these forums to get help because One didn't know what had happened and two for the knowledge that I thought was here.... Instead came across someone that thinks he is the GOD of scooters... I also understand you don't know anything about a scooter or it's wiring and followed a complete idiot who put a disconnect on the wrong leg of the wiring and that's by code and others will confirm it. I also understand that you screwed up your scooter and now want to question someone who can fix it and is arguing about a fuse and is too lazy to strip it and seems to be too cheap or lazy to take it to a dealer. Either way I don't care and what's even funnier is you've fooled with the idiot at Doc now for by your own admission over two months and it's still screwed up. So as they say the blind following the blind keep at doc and don't bother asking here for help again. High horse? At least I'm not asking anyone how to fix a scooter wiring system that I could have done when I was in high school. rich, sorry deeply for your loss and couldn't agree more. This scooter is the least of the worries.. Reason I was gone for the weekend is my Girlfriend's mother is extremely sick and has been in the hospital for over a month and will be for a while.. So I agree to many things in life to worry about than who is going to solve the issue.. I appreciate the time that all of you have spent on here trying to figure this thing out.. IF it takes another month, then so be it... Please all take care of what you need to, then we will worry about this scooter.. if you have the time great I will listen, if not I will stay and wait. And lastly, I agree that we all should be working together on EVERY post on this board. That is what I thought we were doing here... HELPING instead of trying to see who can the the first one that solves the issue.. The goal for EVERYONE should be just to solve the issue no matter who's issue it is... On that note .. when you get the chance Rich, im here let me know.. I will do all the test you posted this week now that Im back home..

Ok. as far as seeing where you are going.. im referring to checking the cluster on the handle bar... I had read on a helix site something about the start button being an issue.
see I have the 2008 fashion.. on my scooter the green/white is a 5amp fuse that shows its for fuel/starter/charge... the horn on mine is a 10amp.. that is with the blinkers, tail lights, etc and is the black/brown wire.
as far as the starter button:
I start the scooter.. no problem with the starter button.. but if I JUST turn the key to on.. (without starting it) and nothing works.. no headlight, no blinkers, no horn, no dash lights.. If I push the start button just to push it.. it lights up the dash lights ok.. so then I turn the key to OFF and pull it out.. NOW the headlight comes on... if you press the horn the speedodometer goes crazy.. etc.. ONLY way to shut everything off is to either disconnect the battery.. or PUSH the START button.. and it shuts everything down... no more power..
