Thanks forthe info Markwb.. I forgot also on the 1st page when Alleyoop was telling me how to start it correctly he put up a picture of a carb with the names by each component

Thanks for that Info alley.. Only issue is its Idled to Low, It cuts off, My Dad knows a somewhat about Motorcycles , can u tell me where the idle screw is? It wont just sit there and Idle.. So which one is it on the carburetter?

I got the Black N silver one.. Just got done taking it for its first ride.
Alleyoop had to tell me one thing i was doing wrong when trying to crank it..
I love it!! Im pretty sure it will get up to 40mph maybe little more..
Gotta break it in first.

HEY GUYS GOOD NEWS!!!! I GOT IT RUNNING!!! JUST STARTED!!! I HAD THE KILL SWITCH ON WHEN TRYING TO START EARLIER AND THE KICK STAND DOWN!! ALSO AT THAT TIME MY BAT HAD ONLY CHARGED 1 HOUR!!! NOW 5 HOURS OF CHARGE LATER AND ALLEYOOPS ADVICE IM PEERING LIKE A KITTING!!! MUCH THANKS FELLOWS!!! IM GONNA POST A PIC OF MY BIKE TOMORROW!!
ALSO HEADLIGHTS R RUNNING ALSO NOW!
HEY CAN I PUT THOSE BRIGHT BLUEISH CLEAR LIGHT BULBS ON IT? LIKE THEY HAVE ON CARS?

O BTW Alleyoop you asked "When you try to start it with the Electric start does it SPIN the starter and the motor turns over?" === NOPE No sound at all. It could be i tried it after only having the battery chargin a hour or so at the time.. Ok iv loaded my photo,  |

I must have tried manual cranking it over a Min Redroush00 bout to go give it another try though..
I didnt know about a Kill switch and all

Im new to the scooter world. Just got my 1st scooter in yesterday and put it together today Tao Tao Cy50-a 50cc from website
ScooterMadness.com I haven't got the scooter to crank yet, and my main head lights wont come on, but the turn sigsnals and all do , so im hoping they will when battery is fully charged and scooter is running..
I hope to be able to learn allot from you Men and make some friends as well.. Glade to be here!

I just bought a 50cc tao tao CY50-A The one thats all black with the VIP FUTURE CHAMPION DECALS..
I thought they were great, I got it for $720.00 bucks Free shipping.
Now I just looked at their site and their doing a 10% off deal , wish i would of known that was coming up(lol) Anyway I orderd it the 1st of Nov and got it Yesterday the 8th.
Now today Iv put it all together and the main head lights dont work, and i havent gotton it to start yet, im letting my Battery charge more, when i tried it the kick start would not crank it either. As long as by the time the battery sits charging the time it requires and it then starts and my Head lights come on,
Id have to say its good company! Return emails bout as fast as you can send them..
Btw iv posted my issue in the 50cc and p thread if u have any advice after going and reading my post please do help.
Also id like to know if others have used the company?

Hey everyone im new to the community . I just bought a 50CC CY50-A taotao Its the VIP one, Or at least has VIP Future champion decals.
I just got it Put together today, Came in Late yesterday(Brand new)
I put new Oil in it, High grade Gas. Only thing is i dont have a Battery charger so Im charging my Scooter Battery with Jumper cables hooked to my Truck. Well First let me say before i got my buddy to bring my jumper cables back, I put the Battery In, Hooked it up, And the turn signals came on, But the 2 main Head Lights dont. Do they only come on once the Battery is fully charged or the bike is Running?
Ok So next, After letting it charge a few hours I wanted to see if i could kick start it, So put the battery in, Then went to Kick starting it.NOTHING! NO START! The fuel filter was full so gas is getting to it. But its not starting..
What could be the issue guys? Iv got the battery back on the charger letting it charge for a few more hours, Also just to check the battery was getting charged or has some power, I took the jumpers off the truck battery and made sure they gave a little spark, they did. So it seems to be charging.
Anyone help me out here?
Im new to Motorcycles ,scooters all that stuff, Iv only owned a Dirt Bike when i was younger. Im no way a auto mechanic. I do know what the parts are, just not fully how to work on them..
So whats the issue if there could be one?
