At the bottom of that PAIR HEAD valve cover there is a reed valve that also hooks up to the muffler and supposedly burns the unburned gas. Does that make the engine perform better?

Well, yeah partly. I have that valve cover, but I'm also talking about the head that the valves are in (in other words the one that the carb and exhaust hook up to)

I also meant to ask, your carb looks like you have a manual choke. Iwas wondering how hard would it be to remove the auto choke and rig-up a manual choke?

Another question, Would you go with a EGR head or non? I have both and wonder what good it really does.

Thanks! It works, only problem is sometimes when I try to start it I need to prime it. I think maybe a bigger jet or lines, what do you think?

Yeah! My carb looks just like that. So I hook the vacuum up to the mani and use a t for the fuel pump. Is that correct?

I just got a new carb without a accelerator pump, how do I switch from my old one to the new?
