I received a new carburetor the other day that I ordered from ebay. It is a KEI HIN CVK carburetor. When I opened it up I noticed that it did not have an accelerator pump. The casting did not have the location for the pump completed and no pump which seemed rather odd. Do you know what is going on Will this carb function on my 2011 TaoTao 50cc scooter?

Yes it will work just fine, there are two kinds of carbs ones that come with a pump and ones that do not have a pump. The ones with a pump sometimes cause troubles because if you twist the throttle enough it squirts more fuel into the venturi. Alleyoop

Remove old carb, install new carb, no further action required except maybe some minor tweeks.

If the carb is a CVK carb and it does not have an accelerator pump, IT has a ACV valve that requires VACUUM. Here is what your carb looks like without a pump, NOTICE you need a Vacuum hose going to the ACV valve. Alleyoop Here is MY OWN CARB connections:

Yeah! My carb looks just like that. So I hook the vacuum up to the mani and use a t for the fuel pump. Is that correct?

If you used a "T" then hook it up like mine is. Alleyoop

Thanks! It works, only problem is sometimes when I try to start it I need to prime it. I think maybe a bigger jet or lines, what do you think?
