I had to change the Dr. Pulleys back to OEM rollers as they rattle to much on deceleration. I took the Morphous on a 1000 mile in 24 hours Iron Butt qualification on the way to Amerivespa in San Diego. rowdycsdtrip.blogspot.com/. I completed the Iron Butt on a 250cc scooter using back roads and no interstate. On the way back home we took a couple hundred miles on the interstate and it still held up well. Full throttle most of the entire round trip. While I was at Amerivespa, guess who shows up. Luke on his Morphous. It was a pleasure to actually meet the person who help me get my scooter CVT right.

Just finish the Morphous install of belt and Dr. Pulley sliders today. Thanks Luke for all the help. The 13g sliders gives me a quicker take off but took several miles off the top end. Ordered some 14g to mix with four of the 13g. I hope that does the trick

You can search ebay for Honda Helix parts. They are the same for the fashion. Most of the aftermarkets parts are from the Honda Helix clones. This site is also a good place for parts; www.helixparts.com/usa/

Thanks Luke. I have the service manual but I can't find the size of the rollers in grams. I see the specs for the diameter check but can't find the OEM rollers gram size. Since you're weighing your rollers, what is the original gram weight?
Since I have to replace the belt, I think I want to try Dr. Pulley sliders where I would buy a gram or 2 lighter. The scooter has over $12k miles and the take off is not what I expect but top end is find.

Thanks a lot Luke!!! This info will really help this weekend. Too busy during the week now. I'm almost sure this is where the noise is coming from as I here the noise more as I ride. Did you use your impact wrench to remove the transmission or do you have the Yamaha tool? I have an impact wrench and a strap that I use on my other scooters. Is there any reason you don't use Dr. Pulley sliders? If I decide to go with Dr. Pulley, what is the original weights of the sliders, so I can decrease a little for better take off. The Morphous take off is good (maybe after transmission maintenance it would be better) but I have a Helix that take off speed is much better. Does you Morphous wheels turn fast while on the stand. It is not an issue standing still but the rotation speed is above normal for my other scooters? I may post a video link.
Thanks for the side switch pointer. I think I may use since it is so simple. The Helix side stand adjustment is a little more complicated.

I've purchased a Yamaha Morphous for a good price but I'm hearing a noise from the transmission. I'm preparing to open the case but wanted some ideas of what to look for.
I'm thinking the previous owner installed a new belt as the scooter has 12k miles and in the trunk was the plastic bag for an OEM CVT belt. There is a kackling, screaching like noise on take off, stopping or backing up. When the scooter is on the center stand the rear wheel is rotating too fast for me. It seems like the clutch is engaging too soon. Since the scooter has an EFI, there is no carb idle issues. I just installed a rear tire to get it home and noticed a burnt rubber smell while riding. I had it up to 82mph. I think the belt was installed incorrectly, grease on the clutch, or maybe something was not tighten to correct specs.
Any suggestions?

The wheel from the Roketta Linhai 250 was perfect for my JCL Ranger Linhai. The honda clone wheels do not fit. I order from roketta.com and all is good.

I can not find a 13 inch rear wheel/rim for my JCL Ranger 2500cc scooter with a Linhai engine. Does anyone have an suggestions?
I find this very ironic because I live in the Dallas area which is near the JCL warehouse and Jonway warehouse. The JCL warehouse in Dallas does not have the rim and states it will be a month or so and the Jonway rim does not match the rim on my scooter. I'm glad I took the rim off the scooter and let Ken at Jonway do a comparison before purchasing their wheel.
Naturally you would think that both of the wheels are the same but they are not. That is why I'm afraid to order online because most dealers think both rims are the same.
If anyone have any suggestions, that would be great. Since I have to buy a tire (damaged rim and tire while riding on flat) should I just go with a 12 inch set. I don't know if that will work either as I'm sure there are different types for each scooter.
I've seen some links to wheels on the forum but I don't know if they will match my JCL Ranger 250cc Linhai engine.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks
