If so, these are really cracks? I mean, you could get an exacto down in there? Variators do get hot. It operates by squeezing the belt so hard it pushes it out on the pulley. All of that while it's spinning and driving the bike.

Okay thanks, I put disc brake grease on crank shaft just a little bit to help out I guess. New glide keys that came with the variator are holding well.

Well, I decided to change the whole unit. It will be here by Monday. Overall, that should do. I will be ridin in no time Thanks for your input guys.
