Good news. Keep on riding.
You may want to start saving for a new battery though. Or a battery maintainer to keep 'er tip top.

Got a tender. It's setup and waiting. Anytime I won't be riding for more than a day, the battery will go on it.

When replacing a battery I use the chance to use the largest capacity battery that will safely fit in the battery box. The stock battery size (5Ah) for a 150cc is just being cheap by the Chinese mfg. To crank the engine more than a couple of times, you need more juice. A YTX9-BS is just a half inch taller than an YTX5-BS and has more than double the cold cranking amps. My 2 cents

No....he does not. Here's the rule, put the most powerful battery in that you can in your scooter. The bike only draws what it needs and no more. There will not be a flood of electrons from a big battery trashing your system, it only gives what is asked for. The other argument is that you stress out the stator. Not true, it makes X amount of current and that goes to the battery and other components. If it's not needed it is shunted and burned off as heat. You might as well use it, it will actually keep the stator cooler. The limits on batteries are due to size, weight, and cost. Before you install a big battery though, I would fully charge it. Then the stator will keep it topped off and run the other components as well. Rich

Polka 24/7 would be considered cruel and inhumane treatment.
One note, any battery that is bought "dry charged" should always be charged after adding the acid. If it is not the life of the battery will be jeopardized.

Polka 24/7!! Oh the memories! I grew up near Pulaski,Wisconsin. Some times refered to the Polka Capitol of the USA. Even the rock-n-roll station played Polka sounds. Umpa Umpa Pa Pa all night and all day. It's no wonder I was the first on the block to get a 4-track tap deck.

when I changed my battery, I went from a 7ah to a 4ah because that's all I could get locally and I avoid online shopping like the plague. no credit cards here. if I need to (for scrappy or something) I get one of those Visa Gift cards that are a prepaid debit card. anyways back to the battery- I noticed that the new 4ah turned it over pretty good for starting but then the 7ah was getting pretty bad in that if it sat more than a day It was dead. the 4ah one actually turns it over pretty good considering how small it is.
