Saw a guy on 49cc scooter forum mention this site so checked it out. Lets you record your fuel ups and keeps track of cost/mpg/etc. If you want to add a scooter, you go to motorcycle & add "other". I added my scoot since she's new and plan to use this site to keep track of my costs. If anyone joins and wants to see how my scoot runs, I go by genseeker there, same as here. And to make sure I don't forget, I can snap a pix of my odometer & the gas pump, then enter data when I get home. Also I'm emptying my coin bank, have a little over $31 to go on the Wilco card, that'll keep me in gas for a few months, lol.
Found out it is 5.3 km or 3.29 m round trip to my nearest groc store.

I think it's a cool site but I put it in the "Too Much Information" category. I have a calculator and trip odometer, calculating fuel mileage periodically is not calculus and physics.

I could care less of MPG, its a toy to me and I ride it to have fun and get out in the sunshine and wind in my face. If you want to save money on gas get an Electric, they have HUB motors that will do well over 40mph and good for 20-25miles at full throttle, more if easy on the mph. So you do your errands and come back and charge it overnight ready for the next day, pennies to charge. Alleyoop

Toys for me too, I stick my card in the pump, get my gas and go. Last motorcycle I owned got 28 mpg and I didn't give a damn, it was too fun to complain.

My scoot doesn't have a trip meter. I just think it'll be way easier to keep track of stuff than a notebook that could get lost. Plus, when people start in about how scoots are stupid, I can say "I've drove XXX miles on $$$$. But to each their own, just thought it was interesting. I'm also recording what station I get the gas at so I can see if different places give better results.
Ex, I heard its better to use a station that has separate nozzles for each grade if you're not running regular, especially in something like a scoot/motorcycle since it has a small tank. My BIL does this with his street bike & says he notices a difference in MPG. We both figure its because when all grades share the same nozzle, you could get some of whatever the last person pumped. In even a 15 gal tank it won't make a difference but when your tank is only 1.5 gal (like my scoot) it can make a difference.
And you have to consider my situation, my scoot isn't a toy, it's my only transportation.

I'm not too much of a penny pincher but my f150 costs between $75-100 per week to drive for my commute and personal errands,,,on the vespa it's $12,,,,and it's more fun,,,and the stella i'm gettin gets an honest 100 mpg so even that $12 will go down

Alleyoop Electric HUB motors do all that? 15mph is max. legal speed, mine does 12mph at best with a range of 10 miles. And I have still get to pedal to help out.
To come close to a 50cc scooters performance you would need a 48 volt model that start at $2200. And it would have to be licensed, insured and the operator licensed for motorcycle operation.
