I hauled everything from Boats/Backhoes/Excavators/ Bulldozers and some stuff I forgot about. Now at 57yrs old, I'm loving life and the time I get to spend with my grand kids = Priceless. Next ?.

Well, let's see...I worked as a tax preparer, assistant in accounting office, fast food, various factory jobs ranging from sewing to food processing to furniture assembly. The last job(s) I held was various merchandising. With merchandising, some of it was W2 work and some was IC work. I did everything from build furniture in Staples, reset store shelves, stock balloons & greeting cards, stock plants, business verification, product reacalls, mystery shopping...
Not much call for that kind of work in my part of NC, mostly avail in large cities but every once in a while I get a job offer. Have one pending approval to go to a local church and verify that it is a real business and is a religious organization. I know the church well, it's about 5 miles from my house. Just did miss out on a mystery shop at a local fast food place - objective was to see if they would upsell me & I would get to reward them if they did but it went fast. Oh well, I don't even make enough doing these jobs down here to even report it for taxes, maybe $200 yr total...

Grew up on a farm, worked in an oil refinery, put in chain link fence, worked in a car wash, decided all that sucked and got my music degree. I was a musician/music teacher. Taught privately and in the public schools. Made good money in a band while doing the teaching. Chucked that and went back to school to get my preregs and started chiropractic college in '78. Worked my way through school at a liquor store. Graduated in '83. Been practicing ever since. If I keep practicing I might get it right. Rich

You never said you wanted a history...
I was born a poor alien child.... Wait... Wrong movie...
Born on a cattle ranch in Texas. Grew up doing all the usual ranch/farm type of things. Moved into the city and got interested in computers. Went in the Army and learned Electronics. Got out and had a Computer/Network Design/Admin business for 24 years. Woke up one morning and decided to chuck it (with a little incentive from my Doctor). Sold the biz and started teaching Martial Arts. Retired to Hawaii where I wound up being a professional Guitar player and teaching.
Now I spend what free time I have harassing well-meaning forum Admins and looking to convert my %(*&^%$%^&* bike to electric.

I'm semi retired now and working at Kmart in Receiving for yucks. I was an Aerospace machinist, Highway Construction Inspector and Office Manager, Substitute teacher, tried to get a Teaching Degree, worked with the Mentally disabled and now unload and sort merchandise from incoming trucks. Oh yeah, worked with my Dad repairing British motorcycles when I was a kid.

I worked in electronics all my working career. From servicing, the engineering dept at a manufacturer of tv tuners, antennas, and installed and serviced the big satellite dishes. Worked for rca and oak manf. and a few smaller places/ Today have very little interest in electricity anymore. I am retired and don't start that till noon.

Currently, I'm a night dispatcher for a manufacturing company here in town. I pretty much try to corral truckers all night... which, as the retired trucker who started this thread can tell you, it ain't easy! But, my drivers are great, work their tails to the bone for me and definitely keep my work life interesting. LOL
