when I turn my headlights on it runs my battery down I know I have a short but I don't know how to find it help thank you

You may not have a short, the charging systems on just about any scoot is MINIMAL at best and usually with the lights on and AT IDLE it will drain the battery.
Does you scoot have a volt meter or do you have a multi meter. If so give the motor some revs and see if the VOLT METER starts to climb and or your multi meter. I know since it is a TRIKE if it does not have Neutral you cannot rev them up to much without them moving. But get on it and ride it and get the rpms up to 4-5k and see if it is charging.

Does your trike have a LIGHT SWITCH on the right handlebar that you can turn off all of the lights even the instrument panel lights?

yes it has a switch you could turn on and off four the lights. And the battery is only 2 months old thank you

Yea, so it is just like mine, everything is run off the battery and not the stator. I can turn on the key start the motor and I have to put the switch in the middle to put on the running lights and the instrument lights If i push it all the way to the left my headlights come on. So yes at idle if you put on your headlights it will draw a lot of juice from the battery. The charging system does not put out that much at those low rpms. But if you rev it up or when riding it should charge it up should register in the 13s volts as your riding with everything on.

I never put on my headlights I run with the front little running lights only also at IDLE with everything on BUT THE HEADLIGHTs it should be charging pretty good. Its the headlights that draw a lot of juice just like mine. So try it get your volt meter start it up and just put on everything BUT the headlights and see what it's charging at should be 13+ maybe even 14+ like mine.
