hi scooterhater, now you see who has class and who is cheap. if you want to live in a disposable life continue riding that chinese scooter and deal with headaches everytime you ride. electrical and mechanical problems come one after the other.
Kz thought that if the tires is junk, the entire scooter is junk, what a logic.
yes, i agree with kz when he said that the key to a good running scooter is good regular maintenance, BUT that does not apply to a chinese scooter because it has problems even from day one before you even do a maintenance on it , my goodness!!!

Let me get this right, the chinese invented many things thousands years ago including gunpowder, iron, and laquer plus hundreds of other items......and the japs?...............oh I remember they invented kamakazi pilots because it was the only way they could come up with to sink a ship! And then they ran out of kamakazi's due to our ships and planes! sad

All you people should have been around when the japs started sending their garbage over here after the war.....I was, I saw the crap and you want to knock chinese stuff, well the jap stuff was way way worse junk, carnival prizes and all the stuff that would not work.

Yea luke we all know what a vehicle looks like that has burned, they all look the same all fkn burned up. Bet a morph would look pretty much the same too except only two burned wheels! All aluminum engines melt at between 865 to 1240 degrees no matter who or where they are built! Gas, tires, and plastic is plenty hot enough to do the job.

Indestructible? Neat. So you're going to stop cleaning, lubing and servicing all the drive line pieces you service twice a year on your indestructible, tire shredding scooter. Guess what? If a series of scooters keep blowing their tires like a Morphous does it means that it's too heavy for the tires it has. No wonder you carry yours on a trailer. I'm guessing yours blew up too so you're afraid to get them warm on a long ride. None of my Chinese scooters do that.

Don't be so quick to generalize. Remember I have a 2009 Honda Rebel in the garage if I need to experience "REAL" quality. It's faster, lighter, more reliable and comfortable than your un-rideable, unreliable, tire blowing Toy. I had it out the other day and you should have seen the look on the face of the Morphous rider I passed around the outside on a curve. He wobbled in fright in my rear view mirrors as I blew off into the sunset in the next set of twisty curves. Too funny.

It totally restored my "Ruined Self Esteem from owning a Chinese scooter".

I think you guys fell right into LUKES trap. he thrives on conflict that is his only purpose in posting. I new a man the exact same way, he went to every fishing forum he could find and stirred up things untill he was banned. it was his source of entertainment. if everyone just ignored luke and didn't respond he would probably just fade away. now for the record I AM NOT SAYING CHINEESE IS BETTER OR WORSE THAN JAPANEESE! I'll just deal with what I have untill I get something else.  that being said this has been kind of fun

I hope you're not leaving Jim. There are at least two problems with Luke. First, he has zero respect. Cyborg, JCT842 and I have decades under our belts. We've forgotten more than he knows. He also, by his own admission, has never ridden anything but 50cc scooters until 5 years ago when he bought a scooter with a 250cc engine. Against the 1000cc+ bikes we've ridden he's a total newcomer. To speak to us the way he does is absurd. He's not in our league.

Second. This forum attracts close to 1,000 visitors a day. Luke's misinformation feeds the racist prejudices of way too many people. It implies that a Chinese scooter or anything, even Chinese people, is inferior. To say, " if you don't spend $3,000 or more for a brand name scooter you're scum." is a disservice to everyone who rides a Chinese scooter every day is denigrating. He spent $2400 on his Morphous. I could buy numerous motorcycles for that and have a better ride. A scooter is supposed to be a cheap, sort range ride, not an overpriced status symbol. I'm on a tablet now but later I'll link a thread from Modern Vespa with an owner who broke a camshaft. A camshaft? On a $7000 scooter?

People need to see, when they come here, real information about choices. Not the ravings of an inexperienced novice.

The part I do not understand is luke is from the islands where during the war the japs beat the living crap out of the people his parents age, killed them, raped them, enslaved them, tortured them, and treated them worse then any animal going to slaughter and then here comes luke praising them. I grew up in army dependents housing (camp grant, rockford il.) I heard about all the atrocity's other kids dads went thru over there at the hands of the japs.

Sadly this is a seized cam shaft. Apparently the end of the camshaft has broken off. I have been quoted £1400 to buy parts and repair by our local dealer. I am gobsmacked. I am told it needs a new head amongst other stuff.

That's $2400 US dollars to repair a "Brand Name" scooter.

You think Brand Name buys you endless reliability?

2005 model 10,000 miles plus the 2,000 in the last 10 days.

Not when you're familiar with the rev limiter. A lesson here for people who flog $900 scooters then bad mouth them when they blow up.

Brand name sales of scooters continue to drop. Check the numbers with MIC. Guess what everybody is buying? Not Yamahas, that's for sure.
