I know after almost two years of riding, that I've fallen twice, and my bike has acquired some pretty nasty scars from it. How about your bikes? Left side fairing, scratches from left side tumble Left side mirror, hit the ground and scraped against gravel and cement. Front dash, left side, hit the ground as well Right side front of bike, hairline crack, I don't know how this happened. Left side front of bike, severe scrapes off plastic from a nasty slide My left side wheel is also missing a cover that the right side has, but that's a different story. I have the broken plastic piece but I don't have the parts. I wonder if there are places that will recreate plastic for you? Also, yes, that is a bucket you see reflecting off my plastic. I had just finished cleaning it

Best just keep riding the scooter the way it is till you quit dropping it. After that happens you are ready for a brand new one. Bikes and scooters do not take wellto dropping them. ? Scratching and breaking plastic needs to stop first! ?

But hey, tumbles happen here and there, and potholes were the cause both times. Maybe I can just sue my county because they don't know how to keep the roads in proper order!!!

Unless you were trying to hit said pot holes on purpose I would guess speed had more to do with it than pot holes. It is not a necessary part of riding to go for a tumble. I would guess you were going faster than your ability to ride in an upright position. Not every one feels it necessary to lay a ride down as part of the riding experience. Just trying to keep you in the herd instead of in the ICU>

JCT does have a point,,first you stop wadding the ride THEN it's time to talk about cosmetics,,but this damage i'm seeing is light sand and dewax ,fill with a very thin skim of bondo,,,resand fine,,,prime and paint,,,i see no major problems,,,as far as stuff missing i didn't see that portion so i can't comment,,,all i know is "anything that was made can be remade",,,to quote my father,,,,,ridged architectual foam carved with a cheese grater and course sanding to fit where missing part is,, coat with polyester resin glass cloth resin cloth,,,trim sand,, clean out foam form,,,prime and paint,,,easy peasy baby,,,instant body panel,,,done it bunches of times,,,works like a dream,,,saves a ton o dough

Face man,
We all have dropped a bike or two. There are three causes of crashes. 1. Rider error 2. Mechanical failure 3. Everyone else on the road.
Stage One takes anywhere from 2 to 5 years to overcome properly. Go take the MSF course. It will cut down your time in stage 1.
Stage Two is still the riders fault since you are responsible for the upkeep of your bike, but things do happen on occasion.
Stage Three is where the rest of us are. We've learned to dodge the potholes and retards on cell phones that are doing stupid things in their cages as they fly down the road at 75mph. But you still might be taken by surprise by an idiot with an extra fast car. Learn to USE your mirrors and keep your eye peeled for any kind of obstacle you encounter and have a way to avoid it.
Oakland County has way better roads than Wayne county does...

I'll admit that my first spill was my fault. I simply wasn't looking for potholes and there just happen to be one. Obviously I'm more on the lookout now. The second spill on the other hand was not my fault. I was going very slow and being careful because the road might as well have been a giant pothole. But it just so happens that one particular pothole was both a hole AND a rock. The rock threw my front tire ajar and the pothole didn't let me tire get out of that angle, so I went straight down. And maybe my bodywork did come from Europe. Still crappy ABS plastic though.

My scooter has a couple of light scratches barley noticeable on rear panel on one side was there when I got it. Other than that the mirrors have some scratches on it from scrapping brick trying to fit between a car and a house scrapping the house. That's about it for me but face fern I believe the second fall on your bike was also you fault since you were operating just like guitarman said. Nice try it's nice to hear you have been accident free for months now.

All of my fleet has some scuffs. Nothing horrific, but potholes? I could see gravel, oil or anti freeze, but potholes.

My current bike has some dings and scratches from a wind storm. I had parked at a store on a windy day and put the kickstand down to go inside. Got just inside the door and heard CRUNCH. Ran back out to find my bike on its side. Picked it up and have used the center stand ever since.
A few other nicks and stuff from riding and catching trash blowing down the road.
That's where fingernail polish comes in.
