Ok so I got rid of the air box and the charcoal canister, I bought supposedly a PCV valve, see arrow #1, is this where it goes?? this hose connected to the air box before, Arrow #2 goes to a nipple on the bottom of the motor and it was just barely hanging on too short no hose clamp or nothing, so I got a longer hose and used a hose clamp on both ends, so now it is sealed, also I noticed that there is a hose that goes from the radiator fill neck to the carb and it has antifreeze/coolant in it, so I am assuming that is some kind of heat warming thing for the carb, do I need that?? should I block it off?? the coldest I ride this thing is like 45-50 degrees, cooler that that I use my car.

YIKES Jackson! No need to scream at us. It looks like you have the same bike as I do. Same engine too. This doesn't look quite right to me. And I never heard of any water line going to the carb. That's weird. Check out my thread on how I did this to my bike. Lots of pix and Rich also adds some along with comments. CLICK HERE TO READ THE THREAD

yeah for some reason it let me enlarge the type (too Big I know) but then I couldn't resize it
fix it sorry bout that.. Thanks Guitarman, I did read that post of yours before, what did you do for an Air filter?? I had one of those cone K&N chineese kind but when I tightened down the hose clamp it kept falling off so I used part of the old airbox and added a 2 piece foam filter you can see it in the photo, hopefully it works. and I am still wondering about the water line to the carb, hopefully someone can answer that question...

This is the air filter I'm using. It attaches directly to the carb. And it comes with two jets that compensate for the increased airflow. You get two jets because one of them might not be correct but the other one should be perfect. AIR FILTER PACKAGE HEREStill never heard of the water line thing. Can you get some better pix of it? Where it comes from and where it goes..

Mine had a ton of hoses all over the place. So I traced them and mapped where they went. Then I shortened them and connected them where they were supposed to with T's and Y's.The fuel pump has a vacuum line coming off the engine and another line is connected to it also. I think I know which 'water' line you mean. I'm going to go look at my bike to compare. I'll take more pix of what I did. I'm pretty sure I routed the line you're talking about.

The coolant lines in the carburetor are there to prevent icing in the carb throat. Generally they are not needed and can be disconnected.
