gmw rx50, gy6 50cc engine. posted earlier about a starting problem and alleyoop says it is running lean. am sure that is the problem because now the idle is up and down. the air/fuel screw is plugged and I will atempt to drill it out. if I screw this up what carb do these engines take? the carbs are not very expensive so it might be a good idea to have one on hand. before I work on the carb I will check for any air leaks

They're #35.00+, so not too bad. PFS has them and they will make sure you get the right one. You might check with John, Dave, Walter, or John,. They are all no Google ad supporters and are great parts dealers. Give them a try.

And yet is so simple to remove that plug. In fact even with a brand new carb you may still have to take it apart and install new jets. Get used to the idea that you can do it.

Yes if the idle is bouncing it needs more fuel so drill the plug and adjust the mixture richer counter clockwise.
