Hey everyone. I just bought a 2012 Powermax 150 and plan on using it as my sole mode of travel, as I live and cruise full-time on a 41' Trawler. I am new to Scooters, but not motorcycles or old cars. I have rode a lot and maintain them all myself. I retired as a Flight Engineer (helicopter for 23 yrs) from the USAF and a Quality Assurance Specialist from NASA, so I am very capable of working and maintaining the Scooter, I just need your help finding service manuals and owners manuals as well as what to replace/adjust so I can get the most out of this Scooter. Thanks so much in advance, Bill

Bill,
Check the library here. We have lots of wiring diagrams and we just released the NEW Scooter Doc generic manual for scooter maintenance. I think it was mostly written by Rich (Bashan) if not the entire thing by himself.
Lets see some pics of your scoot and we also need the engine model number which you should be able to find stamped on it somewhere. That will let us know which motor you have and the pix will tell us which body style you have which makes some difference.
In the meantime, WELCOME to SCOOTER DOC. The place where the mental help you fix your bike!

Beyond what you find in the library the best thing you can do for that scooter is to ride it conservatively. Even if it does 60 mph don't do that for long. These scooters are at their best at 45 mph and will cruise there all day long. Years ago there was a private flight mechanic over on another forum that commuted 80 miles a day on highways with a 250cc Roketa. Needless to say after around 8,000 miles of this, with maintenance and repairs taking up his entire weekends, the scooter blew up. Others with that same scooter have gotten many more miles than that.
You will have a ball with it, just don't overdo it and the scooter will serve you a good long time.
