My muffler stopped muffling the noise about a week ago. At first it sounded like something was rattling inside it but the it stopped and now it just sounds like a 250 dirt bike. It looks like something broke inside. Anyone have this happen to them? I have emailed killermotorsports.com twice with no response. ? flic.kr/p/oNvfY7flic.kr/p/oNvfR3flic.kr/p/oNv2HP

How old a scooter? Phoning usually works better.

If you are talking about the bike in your Avatar, then that one has a bad rep with mufflers. I think they put some kind of voodoo on it as it leaves the assembly line.

I am talking about the one in my Avi. I'll call them. I'm wondering if that is causing my crank case vent tube to pop out of the valve cover???

So it's louder now? If it sounded all plugged up I could see how it might cause a back pressure and pop the breather. But if it's louder it should be less pressure. The threads on that breather look terrible if I'm looking at it right. There's always some pressure on the breather. Are you sure it wasn't plugged up?

Yes, it's much louder now. Used to sound like a sewing machine and now it sounds like a dirt bike.
It definitely was not plugged. I blew are threw every section of the hose and checked the air box.
I did not see any threads on the breather tube at all. It appeared that the only thing holding it in place was some rtv sealant (white). Is there supposed to be threads on the end?

There can be threads but sometimes they use adhesive. Still, it shouldn't blow out of there, I'd think maybe the PAIR reed valve was bad or the breather was stopped up in the airbox.

Bump
Can someone take a pic of the inside of the end of their YYT250 so I can see what this is supposed to look like? My muffler just keeps getting louder.

You will have to take just the muffler off and then shaky shaky shaky to hear any rattling inside which would mean some baffles broke. The mufflers are not made using quality metal that can take heat and what usually happens the baffles break with the heat. Alleyoop How about a thread delete so this crap quits happening?
