Don't worry about that now First get the Timing right so line up the cam like you did and PUT A MARK ON THE CHAIN AND TOOTH then take the rocker assembly off and move the chain on the cam 1 tooth like I mention on the picture I put up and then look at the timing marks on the flywheel you may be off 2 chain links. Then put the rocker assemble back on and put the 4 bolts on and re-check your valve gaps set them both to .004 inchs if its a 150 if a 50 then .003 inchs.
And yes the variator you can turn both ways clockwise and counter clockwise not big deal. Now if just the FAN moves and not the crank then there is a problem. BUt we will get to that after it is timed and it starts then we can worry about the cvt. If it won't start whats the point.

Does it have to be right on the T mark. I got it pretty close within cm's. Have to charge my battery for now oh and this is the pieces that I was showing you in the other images this is not mine I just found it on the internet

As long as it is NOT PAST THE "T" mark closer to the "F" mark. If it is just BEFORE the "T" then that should be good. Did you also re-check your valve gaps? Just to make sure they are set right.
Now that valve you circled I thought you said that your NEW HEAD DID NOT HAVE the holes to connect the chrome pipe SO YOU DO NOT NEED THAT? So what have you got as the HEAD the one in the picture you put up or what.
That hose your holding is the Carbs OVERFLOW hose if the carb floods it will come out there and also probably run into the Air tubing. Alleyoop

Yep did you just move it one link over? I thought it might need two links so move the chain over 1 more link. BUT before you put anything back check the timing so you won't have to keep taking things off and on. When the case marker points to the "T" or JUST before the "T" NOT BETWEEN THE "T" AND "F" mark But Before the "T" then put everything back on.
If you are confused take a picture of the cam and the timing after you move the chain like you took a picture of it before and I will tell you if you can button it back up. Alleyoop

You will see EX that goes to the bottom means EXHAUST. So if it has EX on the BOTTOM side your fine. Here you can see the letters E and X on the bottom backward but the chinese made it(HAHA): Did you move the chain on the came one more link? How many links did you move it and is it good now?
