Do any of you bring your helmet with you into whatever store you rode to? I do, only because I don't have any way to lock my helmet to my scooter; I'm not trying to show off that I ride.
Also, for those of you who do bring your helmet with you, has any store/employee/manager asked you not to bring it in the store? I once asked a target cashier if the management cared if I brought my helmet in, and she said quite surely, "Nah, don't worry about it."

I either use a flip up or a half shell so I never take it off,,, I know in England you can't wear a full face when you go into a store,,,,

I take mine in with me. To leave it on the seat or hung on the handlebar, would be the same as leaving a 100 dollar bill there for the taking. I know it's a bit clumsy to carry around, but better than loosing it to some scumbag. Would never wear it in the store....don't think that's what you were asking about.
Don't know why anyone would say anything to you about it....every woman in there is carring a purse.....so why shouldn't you be able to carry your helmet?

The only place I leave my helmet on is at a gas station. 3/4 or modular is my choice. I've never been told I can't and wouldn't wear it in a department store.
But then I've never asked.

You can't wear them in a store down here. You're told to immediately remove them. You can carry it around with you or put it in a cart though and nobody says anything.

Like richard, the only place I wear it is at a gas station. but I do take it in with me. Costs too much to leave hanging in the open.

I have carried it in a few times. Only because I was in a hurry, I can stuff it under the seat to keep it safer. When it really hot out its kind of nice to take it into some airconditioning. Never take it off getting gas, I pay at the pump.

What does wearing your helmet hurt? Do they ask you to take a cap off if you are wearing one? What about a lady and any hat she wears? IMO there is no difference? Just curious. Is this a statewide thing? Don't understand the reasoning?

JR, It's considered a weapon if carried and a disguise/weapon if worn.

full face I take of except when paying at the pump . The half depends on how I feel . I have room to store it so if I take it off I have where to secure it .

How about the woman with a big wig and the make up. A totally different look, but they would never hold up the 7/11.
