Rejet the carb, do an airbox mod and swap out the variator, then change the exhaust. Those are the real improvements. CDI on that bike isn't going to do much. You might get it up to 60 with all these changes, but that's pushing it. If you really want to do more with it after those upgrades, then start looking at a taller tranny gear and different cam shaft.

I would go with the larger variator and heaver weight like 13 14 15 gram , you can play around with it to dial it in . What works for her will be a dog for you . You need to know if it is short case or long and what size belt is in there . What size wheels ?

It is a LK157QMJ-3 with 130/60-13R tires... Short or long?

Count the bolts to see if long, it isn't going to be short with a 13" wheel, but there is a extra long case too. I think the extra long was just meant for 16" scooter wheels. But we don't see yours around here much, no telling what it uses. The belt size will help to. You have to open the case up and it will be writen on belt.

its a long case not extra long , if the belt in there is 835 then order an 842 . If you would like I welcome phone calls we can talk about it or in open forum is fine .

Anything orange will add 5 hp to your ride.
Carb, pipe and variator would be your best bang for your money. That's what i have planned for my new 150cc engine. (but i'll post about that in my own thread)

I'm coming out of hibernation and resurrecting an old thread at the same time. * shyly waves * I STILL haven't changed the valve stems on my 50 cc Chinese scooter and its been leaning against the house all sad looking. I've been thinking about getting my motorcycle license ( you can get them on scooter in FL - THANK GOD because I can't shift on a motorcycle or car for that matter ) I was searching under " automatic motorcycles " and " scooters that look like motorcyles " and came up with this. www.motobravo.us/MP-150-LKY2-Motorcycle.htmlwhich looks WAY better without all the dumb stickers... see.. But anyway.. I found his thread on scooter doc by searching " super hornet " and I briefly skimmed through the thread I THINK this is a Chinese scooter and after all the crap I've been trough with my Chinese scooters I'm afraid to get another but this thing is so darn sexy looking lol. I've seen other automatic motorcycles that cost a lot more but I think they are ugly. Any thoughts on this? I PM'd the guy who made this thread to see what he thinks of it as of now. If I end up getting this or any other new scooter or motorcycle I'll treat her right and not neglect her like the current bitch lol

Hello Hello Hello, good to see you again, hope your doing well and flying high on your jet ski Those bikes are really nice looking the only problem is parts are hard to find for them. So if you do go and get one before you buy ask the dealer to see parts for it and ask what motor it has in it. I am sure it's a 57 but maybe not the common easy to get parts 157QMJ motor. So you want to know the motor number which would be on the side of the case by the side stand. Body parts for those are pretty hard to find so NO DROPPIES Alleyoop

geeze I never want to droppie a scooter, motorcycle or even my bike. lol. im having a hard time trying to find a dealer too. I just emailed the company. I heard it as a GY6 motor but I thought that's the crap motor I have. The jetski is doing good. I have to take her out at least every 3 weeks to drive around for an hour to charge up the battery so I don't kill it. She has a spot at a marina so no place to plug it into a trickle charger. It gives me an excuse to go play on it though. I'm trying to start going every 2 weeks then every week when I get more time freed up. Thanks for the heads up. So hunt for dealer AND how to get parts should I buy it Good too see you again too Alley

Good to hear your doing well and plenty of work. Yes those scooter motorcycles are neat looking but not very popular so like I said parts are not easy to get. Don't get sucked in by whoever has one says no problem on parts(they lie a lot) and if he has one I am sure it has been sitting there for quite a while SO tell him SHOW ME THE PARTS I AM FROM MIAMI CSI: MIAMI Alleyoop

Oh well moreeee research... prob wont pull the trigger on getting it ( If I do ) until end of the year.. until then Ive got 3 days to mail my recert courses in and then after that ive got to get to those valve stems on my poor neglected 50cc
