Yea I think he has one of the better systems on any 150 scoot. I think his stator is a 12pole job.
His original question was not there was something wrong he just wanted to know how to tell if his CDI was AC or DC. Alleyoop

Actually, I kinda the thread, but the OP seemed to have his question answered. Sorry OP if you feel . Regarding the original issue on this 150 3ph DC CDI, that original question was simply to identify what seemed to be a second CDI. After reading the overview by BASHAN 2 posts up, I have a recollection of reading about this system somewhere and how the R/R provides a smooth and steady flow of DC by 'capturing' each phase's output, etc. I recall the concept that it was a sound and reliable system more so than the details of the discussion as I did not have one when I read it, so dismissed the details for the overall consensus of the article. This is getting old, but you guys of the forum, the admins in particular, but not exclusively, are awesome. There is such a wealth of information available here. Your experiences and willingness to share them are invaluable to my successful Chinese scooting. I offer my undying gratitude to all contributors. If this all seems over the top and smells of another problem to present, give yourself an "A". I'm having some fuel issues, but want to re-read a thread with similar symptoms and then follow the recommendations found there before I post into a new thread. Need to disassemble my carb again to determine if my eyes were lying when I thought I saw a 135 main inside alongside a 32 pilot. From that thread, I want to get some different weights in the variator before I follow up on those tests as well. It has to do with bogging under full throttle, but I won't get specific until I check what is already out there. I just know that I should not be struggling to get 50 mpg, so something is amiss. My old Peace got 75 to 80 mpg, depending on if I was pulling my trailer or not. I also have some finishing touches to make prior to presenting my trailer hookup in the customs section. Thanks again for all the insights!

No, that was my beloved pet squirrel that my ex killed in a drunken stupor. She was raised with 4 cats and even was litter trained, although required her own box with shredded paper, as the only thing she would do in the cat box was try to bury her nuts in it!At one point, I had changed it to a pic of my scoot, but I believe it was Rich that said that he liked the rodent better, so I put her back up. Forgive me, but you made the fatal mistake of asking and she is one topic I could go on and on about! LOL! I'll quit now.

I'm sorry man, I had a pet raccoon as a kid and it was killed. It was a lovely creature and it was tragic. By the way, I was just giving you a friendly jab when I asked what the original question was. No worries mate, it's all good. It turned into a long and interesting thread, just like we like them. Hey people, anyone got a link to a Casoli AC Cdi for a gy6 150? I found them on ebay, but would rather support one of our sponsors as long as I can get a similar deal!

John I can get one from a top rated seller/scooter and atv shop on ebay for $21.00 shipped to my house. They have a great return policy and have great customer service. I have purchased from them in the past.

Just so you know MOST will NOT REFUND for electrical or performance parts, so I would read his return policy carefully.
PUT UP THE LINK TO THIS EBAY SELLER. Alleyoop
