No nothing else and the A9 is your best bet. A little tip Before taking eh cam out MARK Bring it up to TDC as if your going to adjust the valves and Make a MARK on the CHAIN aligned with a tooth on the cam Then Line the same tooth on the new cam with the line on the chain that way you will not be off on the timing. Don't forget to Adjust the valves, either both at .004 inchs or you can go .005inchs on the exhaust. Alleyoop I haven't been on here in forever, but you're the man Alley! Thanks

A A8 offers higher top end for scooters. Slightly less lift than the A9 cam. A A9 has best acceleration and top speed. A A10 more low end torque not for top speed. Here is a graph to help you with your choice which would suit your needs for the way you ride and the area you ride in, hilly or flat. Alleyoop Anything i need with the A9 such as valve springs or anything Alley?

I am looking at doing a cam swap on my Ruckus clone. What is the best street cam? I know there will be some varying answers here, and that's ok. I respect everyone's opinion. Just wanted to get a feel for what's out there and what everyone seems to like. Thanks in advance guys!

Hey people, anyone got a link to a Casoli AC Cdi for a gy6 150? I found them on ebay, but would rather support one of our sponsors as long as I can get a similar deal! What kind of price difference are you looking at ? Can you be certain it will act as you expect . John I can get one from a top rated seller/scooter and atv shop on ebay for $21.00 shipped to my house. They have a great return policy and have great customer service. I have purchased from them in the past.

Alright, So.... Here's something interesting. My mixture screw was cranked all the way in to the extreme lean. I twisted it counter clockwise until I achieved my highest idle, then turned it back in an eighth. Running much much much better... Haven't ridden it yet, but it is holding an idle better and more responsive. Next question for you gurus of scooterdom....lol. When I start it warm, it's trying to kick back a little... CDI time???

Well how about a carb off the internet that you can take the bowl screws off and adjust the A/F? But I've got those bowl screws off with vise grips. We need to know what size jet you're running. If I missed that I'm sorry. You will need to get the bowl off to determine that. Yea that's kind of what i was thinking. Was going to try and remove the plug and screws. Then buy some regular screws at the parts store to replace them with.

Oh, so it is already running rich, COOL because a 125 and a 130 ARE WAY OVER BOARD. With a free flow exhaust and a free flow filter the BIGGEST MAIN should be a 115 and the biggest pilot should be a #35. Now a stock 24mm 150cc carbs usually have a #35 Pilot Jet and Main anywhere from 103-107. So the carbs FUEL RATIO MIXTURE is also probably plugged if the Carbs Bowl screws are cut off. Alleyoop Is your fuel ratio screw plugged like this? I'm laying in bed right now, but I am pretty sure it was sir.

Don't forget when cold the enricher is feeding it extra fuel, and your fuel mixture is probably set to rich so it is overly rich when cold. So adjust the fuel mixture on the carb, but adjust it after it warms up and shuts off the extra fuel WHICH IS ABOUT 5 MINUTES. And may I ask what Size Pilot Jet and Main Jet have you put in. Alleyoop scooterdoc.proboards.com/thread/1499/4ts-carb-tuningTo be honest with you Alley, once I noticed how rich it was running, I didn't even change the jet. The filter kit came with a 125 jet and a 130 I believe. I have not touched them due to the running rich. I wanted to come here first. Also, when I was looking to take the fuel bowl off, I noticed it did not have standard style screws or anything. They have just a smooth head. What's the trick to getting those out? Lol

Ok.... So, I installed my aftermarket exhaust and bike smelled like it was running rich. That isn't an issue with me. Scoot has always ran like crap when cold started until it warms. Today I installed a UNI filter and hotter plug, and started it before swapping jets. Well, when cold started, it still runs like crap. However, now I am getting a little white smoke when I give it any amount of gas when it's cold... i.e. revving to keep running while cold. Once warm it runs decent, but not optimal. So what's the diagnosis here friends?

If you want a timing advance CDI talk to John at NYC Scooter. I installed one and it works great. You can read about it right here. What other reasons or types of cdi are out there ? Haven't had much research time

Why do you think you need a CDI? And to further add on to this Buggy Parts NW (hope i got that right), sent me two jets to go with the velocity stack and UNI. I believe the 125 is the smaller. Will that be too much with the timing advance, orange coil, Iridium plug, and exhaust? Sorry I forgot to mention I had the orange coil in the previous post!
