Had the stock jet on 150 powermax with aftermarket exhaust and all was GREAT. Put on an aftermarket ain't filter and now all is bad! with a 125 jet it bogs as soon as I take off, 120 bogs around 15 mph, with 115 around 20, with a 105 around 35. I went back to the stock jet and it starts around 40 mph!!!! This is killing me!

Aftermarket air kit is the problem. Start adjusting the air/fuel mix to correct it.

Restrict the filter with tape or put a homemade restrictor plate in the intake. Think NASCAR.

What kind of Filter are you trying to put on and what size? With the aftermarket exhaust and it was running good with the stock carb then adding a free flow filter it should take 2 sizes more on the main jet and leave the pilot jet alone, and then adjust the fuel mixture on the carb. With the exhaust and filter the main jet should be anywhere from 107-112. Alleyoop

, NO WONDER your having problems that air filter is blocking most of the air SO your running richer than a skunk . No wonder even a smaller jet is effecting it, That filter as you can see has a nice pretty blue girly cover on it, it is for ATVs and Karts running in dusty and or muddy environments. So either get a K&N Filter or an UNI filter and then you will be just peachy keen Alleyoop Here is my setup:

I'm in Florida, so I wanted to avoid rain from getting into the carb. the filter under the rain guard looks like yours.

Take the rain guard off, protect it some other way by putting a cover by the wheel so it does not splash water onto the filter BUT do not cover the filter . Alleyoop

That sounds great, but I have no idea what the specs are. That is why. I was asking for someone who actually is using on and the link to buy one. When I ordered the one I have now it also said it would work. The photos in the adds need to have a ruler in order the see the size, IMO.

i dont see how the air is stopped by that thing. what restrictions? its got enough of an airhole to should be able to let the amount of air that would go in go through.
maybe a little leaner jets than the other filter.
i find out mine are rich on the main jet by holding wide open, after adjusting the mixture screw after, its warmed up. holding wide open and either you do a plug chop, or your holding it wide open, then after 1/2 a mile or maybe a mile or something, sometime down the road, youll hold it wide open then either itll backfire on you, or start having trouble, and not running.
