Was thinking about the possibility of going on a small tour of back roads here in Arizona on my Roketa Bali 150cc. An idea occurred to me, probably not original.
Is it possible to install an auxiliary fuel cell, possibly under the seat, something that could be removed and install as needed, with a switch to move from the main fuel tank to the aux fuel cell? Might make long stretches a little easier. Any input?

There is going to be a problem due to the height difference in the two tanks. Nothing you can't beat. You might think about an electric pump for the under seat tank. Just so you don't just pipe the upper tank directly into the floor board tank and have it over flow!

What I would suggest is switch from a vacuum fuel pump feed when it runs out to a gravity feed tank. You'd have to put a vac valve on your pump and shut it off when the tank was out. Then open the gravity feed to your carb. The other option would be to open a gravity and have it drain into the main tank. I mounted an auxillary tank back on the case rack and used it as gravity feed. There's several ways to do that. I know a place that makes legal aluminum tanks but they're a little pricey. Rich

Why bother? Especially if you want it removable/ convertible,,,, just carry 2 half gallon jugs,, get low,,, fill up done ,,, cheap and easy peasy,,, when I go into deep canyons on long rides I take a half gallon in a clear plastic apple juice container easy to store easy pour,,,, easy,,, free ( comes with the juice) BAM!!!!

I tried that on my motorcycle a few year ago. It had a 2.2 gallon tank and got 35mpg pulling a trailer. The auxiliary 1 gallon tank made for the purpose was mounted to the rear rack and had a quick disconnect. When the main tank got to reserve I turned on the auxiliary tank and continued on. About 10 miles farther I stop at a gas station and found the trailer covered in gas. It was spraying out of the vent hole in the auxiliary tanks cap. I posted about it on a model related board and an engineer tried explaining it to use why it happened but I don't remember the reason. Just that it didn't work and after that I just carried a spare jug on the trailer tongue and added it to the tank as needed.
Camping stores/departments have containers made to hold white gas in various sizes. Not cheap but safe. Just make a bracket to hold it/them.
