I just take mine out, clean it up, charge it up and store it where it can't freeze. It's good for 4 months.

What Richard said,,, if you have a dead cold storage,,, like deep freeze cold I'd get the battery in doors where it's warm

Actually the cleaning is the most important. Any acid on the case can create an electrical connection between the posts and a very slow drain. With our small batteries it doesn't take much.
There are cleaners available but, baking soda and water wash works just as good. Also clean the tray and area to prevent corrosion.
Cleanliness is next to more than Godliness. It makes for happy batteries as well.

2 or 3 times a day!!!??!,,, that would be considered a dud,,, I would think a battery like the link you put up would be good for a couple three weeks at least,,, just font let it freeze

I never put a charger on any of my bikes I left available for winter fun. The snowmobiles would sit for long periods as well. Get yourself a new battery a make sure there's no drain.

I disconnect my red then black wire and try not to touch the terminals I think they have a little lead on them, I then hook up my charger then plug it in and it auto stops the trickle like the one you bought. I leave the battery inside the scooter still and don't have to move it. Not too sure on if you should use a 3-amp charger all the time but I'm not an mechanic really or electrician so I think you might be okay.

Even a little 1-amp charger should NOT be left on indefinitely. If it's all you have just let it run for a couple hours a week. Longer and it will damage the battery internals. A good quality maintainer is the best if you feel a need.

The charger I have has auto maintain. I think 3a should be fine so long as it has auto maintain, that's what I heard anyway. I also heard that a high amp charger may damage the battery but I also recall reading that same day that up to a 6a was used with no problems on a bike battery.
Do batteries freeze at the temp of water?
is it safe to charge this battery from say 75%? Will topping off a charge shorten the battery life?

They do not freeze at 32f,,, it is a lower freeze point,, -50 or more for a fully charged one,,, one site I visited said -75 but I think the batteries in our scoots are not up to that kind of exposure
