Hi, My speedometer/tachometer is very dim. I saw a guy on youtube swap out the bulbs in his camero for led's and it made his a lot brighter. Are there any LED's i can swap my speedo/tacho bulbs with?

is your scooter 6 or 8 pole stator ? shifting load can make your lighting and charging system go a little whacky .

Haven't explored that area of the anatomy yet, I have no idea the amount of poles on the stator. id have to get that tool i assume although i think I saw Rich using 2 wrenches to get it, i think... drahken has a point, I was just previously looking at this old headlight cleaning kit i got. im going to try it on the speedo/tacho cover. Im not sure if it will work but it is worth a try since i may not need to buy lights at all. The thin clear protective sheet of plastic that was covering the speedo/tacho window cover when it left the factory is still on it. it has become fused on with time so this should be interesting.

yea its like you never think about it, but then after, if you get over blinging it up, or whatever and later your blind, i mean your like, i should of thought about sitting ina camaro. i think, of my oil light since i plugged the oil pump and the bright red led its really bright and at night its this big shining light and on a full faced helmet, it glares.

To determine the poles on the stator you do indeed need a couple of wrenches. You need a flywheel remover and a crescent wrench. Once the flywheel is off just count the number of poles.
