I read where someone took a headrest from a car, fabricated a bracket to go thru the seat and attach underneath. seemed to work.

Mornin Boys, Ok, I ordered a trunk for the trike from e-bay and it came. I got a cheap one just to see how it would work, it didn't. It was a cheap one that was not built strong, very light weight. Something heavy was put on it and it came broke and out of shape. The company I got it from said they will send me my money back and to just keep the trunk. Ok fine, I can throw it away. So I need a better one. What brand have y'all found that you like and how much did you pay? The one I got was $30. I see them from $30 to $365.00. I don't want the $365.00 one. I'm looking for one with a back rest. Scooter Trunks.

This is the one I got and as you can see it was (List price:$59.90) and I got it for (Now:$29.95). I can't find the weight on a lot of them, that's why I'm asking for opinions. I'm --> guessing <-- the weight should be more then 2.9 lbs to be a strong one.

Just checked out the box,,,looks to be real nice ,,,there is shouldered washers which is key,but if there's a bunch of flex (it is ABS afterall) you may have to fabricate interior and exterior base plates out of 3/8 ply,,,not the regular ply,,,the good danish ply,,,it'll have 6 or 7 plys in that 3/8 thickness,,,that should be plenty i would think,,,and that thing will be on there

Mornin cyborg, I agree with a base plate, already told the Wife I was going to ad one to a good box for extra support, but not with the one I have. I buy 24 cans of natural light beer that comes in a stronger box than this one is. I do need/want a stronger one. I know I could find another hinge to replace the broken one, but the box is still to flimsy.

Perhaps when you find a good tail truck you could mount it forward enough to use as a back rest.
