I've decided to keep the remote system intact for now.. will test the PANIC button... what i am beginning to understand.. is the remote and the key ignition.. don't kn ow each other exist.... and whatever you do with the remote.. you must UNDO... in the same manner you would start with a key.. and then turn it off later.. one does not turn both off.. and that may be why the remote drains batteries... just a guess.. but it makes sense

after 3 days?... i checked the battery voltage this am.. pre-ignition was 12.6... after ignition cold idle... 13.6.. after warm up and set idle RPMs it was 14.8.... question i have now is.. 14.8 irregular? is this some super duper 12v battery impervious to anything except green kryptonite?

My opinion on these alarms are that they are great. If you disarm your alarm when it's going to be stored, it draws zero power... I only use the alarm when I'm out and about and although I know a thief can just grab my scoot and stuff it the back of a pick up, in some circumstances the alarm will act as a deterrent....Nothing more....
For me, that deterrent is enough justification to keep it installed.....
If one wants to disable the alarm, it's simple. Just unplug it and use a jumper wire to complete the ignition circuit. You complete the circuit from the scooter side of the alarm plug once unplugged..

I've only installed 3 alarms, 2 of those scoots are identical so I don't have lot experience with these alarms... But I have extensively studied many different scooter wiring diagrams and they all have the same "alarm plug". I believe it's a Chinese standard. I have some youtube videos I made showing the alarm plug and one on how to install the alarm itself. They are very easy to disable or install... I would even go as far as to say they're plug and play. Plug: Install: -------------------------- I have read a few post where people had problems with their alarms... They come from the factory with the sensitivity set to max and a lot people do not know how to set their sensitivity. Also, I'm sure there are junk ones out there too... The ones I bought from Amazon for 17 bux are likely to fall in this category.... As far as GPS, yes, that is the way to go.... Get a cheap tracker and tap into the GSM network. You can track your scooter down to the inch. The down side with GPS is you have to pay for monthly service and need to acquire your own SIM card. $9.99 Tracker

I'm pretty conflicted right now about the alarm.. i like the idea.. i really like the GPS idea... i don't want to pay a monthly charge.. i haven't used the alarm yet.. except to test it.. .. but i can see usefulness arming it in a parking lot... since its not automatically draining my b battery.. i will wait to decide how to use or not use it

How do you remove the OEM alarm from a 2010 Jonway YY250T scooter (and keep it running)?

How do you remove the OEM alarm from a 2010 Jonway YY250T scooter (and keep it running)? I don't know if you can keep it running. If you unplug your alarm while it's running, it's the same thing as turning the key off because the alarm is tied into your ignition system. If you want to remove your alarm, you'll have to unhook it and jumper your ignition wires together to complete the circuit.

Find the alarm/remote start module and find the white plug for it. Unplug it from the wiring harness then check the wire colors if you have a Brown/White and a Black/White wire or 2 Black and White wire or a Grey and a Pinkish wires in the harness plug join them together with another wire. .
So the wires your looking for To JUMP are: 1. A Brown /White and a Black/white wire 2. Or 2 Black and White wires 3. Or a Grey and a Pinkish wire
If the alarms have a fuse just remove the fuse and leave it plugged in. Alleyoop
