First time since Nov. Damn did that feel good. Still feel a bit weak from the surgery but I finally got some fresh air. Only put about 75 miles on it, and it Started up on the second turn of the engine. Got to love efi for that. Don't know how warm it was, there were some harley riders out no helmet and tshirts. Just got back and its about 55 now.
It was getting a bit chilly and the wind gusting. Just going to have to cut the givi windshield down maybe 5-6 inchs lower than the stock one. I would rather have wind hit me in the jacket than to have the gusts trying to tip you over. Last year right after I took the givi off to put the shorter stock one on, I rode a few days with no windshield and it was great but looked like crap. If I need a windshield to keep the weather off me, I should be driving the car.

That's great John, proud for you. There were a bunch of motorcycles out around here too. Some with no windshield and skimpy jackets. I don't get what freezing your arse does for the ego but hey, whatever blows their skirts up.

I didn't see any go past my apartment but was unable to get out because my truck wouldn't start. I park in a garage and the humidity got to the electronics.

Having lived in Wisconsin all my life, except time in the army, I've adjusted. Though the snowmobiles did help while I could afford them. And some of my motorcycles never got stored for the winter but, kept ready for a nice day.

If I don't ride at least once a week I get seriously grouchy. The wife doesn't like me to ride and she knows how I get. So, I ride most every day unless the weather prevents me from it. And it needs to be some serious weather to keep me off my bike.

I live in Vegas, and I'm having a hard time remembering the last day I did not ride. I'm thinking it's been around 10 years since I had a day when I didn't get on two wheels for at least a short ride to the store. I can't imagine living where it's too cold to ride, I'm sure I would be buying all the heated gear, with that and a good windshield, the only thing that would keep me off the road would be deep snow or ice. My throttle wrist is twitching my hand back, my body's way of subtly telling me it's time for a ride!

You boys enjoy rubbing it in like that, don't you. Last ride here was on Nov. 11th......next one probably won't be for 90 days or so.
Am I jealous of you??......gd right I am.

Hmmmmm, it was 60 here today, supposed to be warmer tomorrow. I'll be doing my 84 mile commute tomorrow. So if you live up north, eat your heart out! HAR! Wait, there's a payback for living up north, and it is.....uh....well.....maybe not. HAR! Rich

Got on my bad motor scooter and RODE today. Did about 105 miles just cruising around. Actually, I was headed home, but I missed my exit so I had to go a ways past to turn around. Made my exit on the way back but traffic was so heavy I couldn't make my turn so I had to go all the way up the mountain to the next city and catch the freeway back. Finally got close to my place and the wind blew me around a corner that sent me on a long wandering road up and around one of the golf courses. I got to the end and it was blocked off, so I had to go all the way back where I started from and find a different route home. And people wonder how you can get lost on an island...
