I probably would not buy a kenda either but are you sure it was the fault of the tire as far as the stripped bead? I have no idea of how you are working with your tire installs, are you using tire tools designed for bikes? There are people who love kendas and seem to have no problems with them. 2 in a row seems a little weird. If they all had bad beads I would expect to hear all kinds of crying about kenda's on the internet. A sharp edge on either the rim or the tools is more than likely to blame. Using more force than a tire edge can handle would do it. The tire is to slide over the edge of the rim, and will not stretch to make it go on. The bead of the tire has wire in it to prevent it from stretching over the rim. It has to slide on.

I have motorcycle tire irons 8" Tire Irons Ive put tires on before just not on a scooter, and never had these problems. in fact i used to use 2 flat heads and a towel

In the picture of the tire with the irons they look like what you would use on a car/truck tire. The recent pictures of just the irons don't show anything to compare sizes with. The motorcycle irons I use are much smaller and thinner. That could be what damaged your beads on the kendas. Mine are 11 inches long x .2 inch thick and the tips are about .1 thick. And made for cycles.
Some rims have some extra room in the center where you set one side of the tire bead while working the other side with the tire irons. My riva has the worst rims I have ever encountered with almost no extra room in the middle of the rim and is almost straight and flat across the inside.
A tire that's been out in the hot sun for a few hours is usually super easy to mount. This time of year in arkansas that is not going to happen. Some claim windex is the slipperiest tire lube going, I am going to try it next tire. I use dawn in water. In any case you slide the tire on..... not shoe horn it on. Beads do not stretch as they have wire reinforcing in them. And if they did stretch they would not shrink back due to the wire.

Finally riding again. Thanks guys, gotta go find an arse to put on the back of this scooter. Hey....you can end this thread like this. Did you get someone else to mount your tire? Did you watch how it was done, so next time you can do it? Did you get a new wheel, or was the original still serviceable? You have to fill us in....."Finally riding again, thanks guys"......now, that just ain't right, we need a few more details

I took the SYM's rear wheel off and dropped it and a new Metzeler tire off at a place called Dirt Bike Supply. Then we went to Nino's Italian Food and had the best Pizza on the planet. It's true, it's better than any pizza any of you can get. Then we went back to the bike shop and gave the guy $35.00 and the tire was mounted, balanced and he even got the stem dot correct. No hassles, no swearing, no tirades. I'm sorry but for $35.00 I'll have somebody do it for me, JMO.

Oh those bikes.....nnnnnnngggahhh!!!!! This Italian food place is run by a New York transplant. He comes out and talks to everybody in the place, well actually he yells. He squeezes your shoulder real hard and says "how ya doin'?!" He tells you he makes everything from scratch and if it's not perfect just tell him. I tell him it's perfect and he squeezes the hell out of my shoulder again. He is a force of nature and so is the food. I'm eating there way too much. I'll need a new tire way too soon if I put on weight. See how I brought that back so it's not thread hijacking?!

Lol i have no netiquette. its the one place I can swear (sometimes) and be a rebel. As for new yorker's pride in their pizza, I doubt youd want to tell that itallian his pizza is anything less than perfect. Man Im looking at that ninja z1000 touring. Id eat that for dinner F pizza!
